“Oh quicker play is just a fun mode” no… it’s them showcasing what this game will be. Tiktok attention span games, a self heal for every role?
What happened to team play??? What happened to coordination? What happened to “competitive” shooter?
Every tank being pushed to the front requiring less and less teamplay to get value out of?
Constant garbage changes to the game and balance changes to heroes.
I mean seriously, they might as well change the name to Call of Overwatch. Because this isn’t overwatch. This is some call of duty based hero shooter.
The reception on twitter alone, from pro players to casual players alike show me all I need to know. It’s done. This game is cooked, this dev team is led by a moron and filled with even more morons.
I hope we start realizing as bad as Bobby Kotick was. Terrible human being and terrible at his job too. This dev team just SUCKS.
In other words, they are straight killas? That’s pretty dope.
In all seriousness, whether these developers are murderers or not changes nothing. Nobody likes to hear it; however, the playerbase is the real problem here. If we had a better playerbase, this game would be so much more fun.
The playerbase isn’t the one balancing the game. The playerbase isn’t the one changing the identity of what made overwatch… OVERWATCH. The playerbase isn’t the one making the back to back to back to back to back garbage changes slowly ruining the game more and more as we go on.
Those players have there title: HARD-CORE PVP FPS PLAYERS. They think that this game is only meant for them because they want this game to be like a COD. To all of them: Go play COD if you like it.
I am not defending the developers. I am just saying that none of this would even matter if the people playing the game were chill. Half of their decisions are being made because of this degenerate playerbase. I wish they wouldn’t listen and that their bad decisions were their own. It would make this experience substantially less frustrating if the game designers focused on designed their game and not catering to cry babies.
Did it ever occur to you that the process of attempting to make the largest amount of players happy, almost by definition, involves making a small group of players unhappy?
The game isn’t MADE for everyone. You don’t go to TETRIS and try to turn it into an FPS to cater to all the fps fans.
That is an idiotic argument. This is OVERWATCH, not call of duty.

Considering most of their changes have been hated, disagreed with, and called out for being garbage by said playerbase. I cannot agree.
We need to accept the dev team is horrendous at their jobs and constantly make incorrect decisions that further ruin the game and change it’s core identity from what people fell in love with, in the first place.
Unfortunately they plan to continue this train of thought. In their recent developer blog, they already stated that this would not be the same game by this time next year. The only cope is that we can hope that means it will evolve for the better; however, I am not a huge fan of the precedent either.
