This community is truly disgusting

I’ll do my best, I understand what you’re saying too.

I need to get my head around things and I think competitive is just not for me, I will stick to QP and what I want to do is say “GG” win or lose and ask politely for endorsements lmfao!

I created a group of positive people called Everlasting Hope who combat toxicity like there’s no tomorrow things are a little slow currently but I know they’ll do great things :yum:

And QP isn’t much better but at least in QP People will actually listen to you and your opinion

But change really is possible and perhaps if enough get onboard with this idea of change Bliz might notice take heed and start helping out this cause will achieve so much teamwork is really the only thing that will continue to help it survive

Always remember positivity is :key:

Diamond and masters are even worse. You’ll be immediately flamed for throwing if you can’t handle the 4.3k smurf on the other team.

People shouldn’t avoid joining team chat just because of toxic players.

You can simply mute the toxic people, but don’t do those on your team who do want to work together and try to win a disservice by not joining team chat at all.

This goes double for players on console. Don’t sit in your private little Xbox or PSN party and ignore your team. Join team chat and contribute!

Idk what you expect from a random gaming community but you either accept it or leave.

Not trying to be mean but this wont change anytime soon if ever.

Positivity will only mask the problems, hiding them from the devs who don’t pay enough attention as is.

I will say, Overwatch used to be chock full of enthusiastic, positive players. Just random people, we’d even “stay as team” sometimes.

But people can only take so much. From what i can see, players became jaded about the game. The system is just too punishing. The system allows random throwers, smurfs, trolls to ruin your SR. You can see it in how people enter a game like “who’s gonna ruin it for me this time?”

And to me, it’s a failure of the SR system and matchmaking.

Blizz could change all of this, and relieve a LOT of the toxicity, but they insist on acting like the ladder is some professional scene. It’s far too harsh, oppressive, and i think a lot of players lost that enthusiasm because they don’t think their rank is in their hands any more.

Overwatch beat the players down, and forced a lot of them to just quit, by refusing to fix the actual complaints people have had about the matchmaking and SR systems.

Yeah, they called me out on my way of thinking when I was silver. Then I got to platinum. Conclusion: just ignore them.

It doesn’t stop. When I got into Diamond (3100+, so hardly grazing the border), people continued to mock me because of my character choices…

Keep blaming the person keeping you alive.

You haven’t played a lot of competitive games then.

I think people come to OW expecting it to be different than other online games.

Short Answer: No.

Longer Answer: It’s not just the community that’s terrible. There’s many issues with the game that are not good (but not oh boy do the Overwatch Zealots defend them). Some big ones are Role Lock, Role Lock wait times, Map Lock, and Hero Bans. Add in other things that certain accounts run across constantly that other accounts don’t, limpwrist punishments, and hidden mechanics known only to the Devs?

Plus these issues remain as all dev eyes are on Overwatch 2?

There are other games where all the above issues are absent. Play those.

I do enjoy the responses here that amount to “that’s just the way online gaming is”

Why do anything about it when you can just accept it so it never changes?

“That’s just the way things get done around here”

No responsibility, no accountability, par for the course.

This is 100% the devs fault. You dont blame the customer for being mad at a product that doesnt stimulate teamwork productive coms grouping and a general competitive enviroment.

Lfg and endorsements fell on their face.

Devs should be ashamed at this games progress. Stop yule log acting like everythings ok

If I could snap my fingers and have a mansion I would.

If the devs could snap there fingers and have a perfect game I’m pretty damn sure they would.

Problem is-we are not omnipotent and omniscient beings, we do not have the ability to be perfect, we can only try our best.

I can only try and earn enough money for that mansion in the same way the devs can only try and make a perfect game for millions of people.

Who’s more likely to succeed?

Me. By a long shot.

It might be the devs fault that the game isn’t as fun as could be, but at least there trying-what else can you expect?

Fix endorsements

Fix lfg

Fix mmr

Fix grouping incetive

Fix q time incentive

Pretty simple

Doesnt really feel like they are trying the community is quitting and getting more toxic every day. Ow2 will have a low core fan base at the rate ow1 is dieng

Oh and andrew yang 2024 hows that for snapping your fingers… so much bias open your mind
