Third-Person is an easy win for Overwatch

Ew no. That’s terrible

Despite the fact that Brig is my main and I see a lot of 3rd person… I don’t like 3rd person. I love Brig in spite of and not because of that. It just feels different and for me, 3rd person always feels worse.

3rd person shooters are disgusting. Over the shoulder cam is passable.

No it’s popular because of its a immersive sandbox rpg experience in a sprawling world that is living and a massive modding community.

Is the most beautiful world that you don’t want to live in.

All cdpr titles are like that.

I love witcher 3 10x more for the experience it gives and choices

But I would happily go back to cyrodil or Skyrim than to watchers or cdpr world.

There is a reason old ow maps like kingsrow are popular they are nice cozy and welcoming

You want to happily lie back and gaze in these maps if we weren’t fighting.

Old blizzard really captured that feel.

Of the new maps Esperanza parasio capture that feel.

yea you are right on the immersive sandbox thing but that is part of it. still i do believe the ability to switch perspectives (1st and 3rd) is a big reason on some games successes.

about the old blizzard thing, you are right about that also. world of warcraft really drew me in for so many years. everything about it was pretty awesome. of course nothing lasts forever and i wonder if ill get tired of overwatch eventually…maybe but not right now lol

Ya overwatch certainly still has at its core that feel it’s just hidden by a ton of issues

you are gonna hate what i say but a big reason i wont stray from overwatch is this…
(wish it was the old version tho)

They had this in Paladins (I think)

Then don’t toggle it on??

They had this in Paladins, it did not effect gameplay. You could see your fancy skins better though.

I really like sombi child too she is like the sibling you want to disown but can’t basically genji :joy: what I get annoyed was the virus sombra adopters telling others to get gud lol :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

It does affect game play, they said the real reason they got rid of it was it caused major bugs and issues every major patch and they got tired of fixing them.

Heck! They brought it back to Paladins for a limited time earlier this year! It was so cool!

:sob: :+1:

If I’m on Mercy and I hide around a corner from a Genji and a Genji has third person on he can now see me. This effects gameplay whether I use it or I don’t.

I’ve played in third person custom games. It’s fun but I don’t want it to be in the main game modes. As an arcade mode I think it’d be fun to have

yea i wouldnt want it in overwatch but paladins would be cool. if they had two modes in that game i mean

for overwatch it wouldnt work i think, also i dont think i would play it. like you said tho custom games… wait isnt there some people who made 3rd person custom games?

The biggest reason why i dislike mr, is because of the 3rd person pov.

There are many heroes in ow where 3rd person just does not work. Mercy for example.
You ga jump to the sky, and turn to look down at the battlefield. All you see are your own wings. Nothing else.
You can’t shoot at enemies, nor can you scout for flankers, and you can’t really see your teammates through the wings.

Lucio just feels awkward to position while skating and you just keep missing poles and trees that are vital to keep up speed and trajectory.

It just doesn’t work for all heroes, nor all abilities.

Yaa thats what Im saying! I’ve played a few customs of it

Mercy in my opinion would be good in third person. In custom games it made it much easier to scout and such.

But still I do not want ow to have third person outside of an arcade mode
