To add salt to the wound, they buff Torbjorn with 50 more HP in the form of armour.
Torbjorn. A long range hero with a long range turret. Buff for health. After he already has an E ability that gives him walking speed, shooting speed and extra health.
Like, is this a joke lmao. Torbjorn, who doesn’t even have to be in close range combat, gets survivability buffs, while already having survivability.
Sym? Nerf to damage, on a hero that already struggles to deal damage with no protection to speak of.
I would love to see the explanation for this line of thinking. Symmetra can’t do anything to stay alive in close range (teleporter is lol, about as much of a survivability as shadowstep is) and she has to play in close range. Her turrets are close range. Her primary is close range. Her primary recharges on shields. 200 HP, no self-sustain, no protection, useless slow charging primary fire.
-Orisa got pretty buffed(it seems small, but it’s actually a pretty good because you can defend yourself better as a whole since you no longer move at a snails pace when shooting. Even with Fortify, it still lets her moves pretty fast. If you haven’t checked…she feels moves almost as fast as she walks while shooting…ITS GREAT!) I was the most happy for this buff, but Soldier’s was a good second(he needed the love too)!
-Mecree got FtH nerf(thank God) and a big High Noon Buff(like wow…it would take about 1.5 seconds to kill 200-250 HP heroes…its a REAL threat now).
A lot of nice changes overall!
I kinda was hoping for a small Zen buff, but oh well.
I see others mention Sym. Not too sure on her, but I feel a buff wouldn’t be too bad. Especially when she got an indirect nerf to her damage.
I always assumed that was the way they wanted it. Like DVa taking reduced knockback while firing or Rein while his shield was up. I mean, given her mostly stationary nature and large magazine size it just sort of made sense imo.
Playing a lot of Orisa and Hammond so the buffs sound great…
But how does the whole knockback thing come into play?
Orisa will get knocked back easier, am I right? That’s really not a good thing.
And Hammond can be booped and slowed down mid air? To tell you the truth I’m not sure what that means. If it is something that will actually kill the momentum then I don’t think that’s a good trade off for the adaptive shield buff.
Looking forward to the live patch so I can test that stuff out.
New hero looks really interesting btw. Watched some high level stream and there were some nice plays.
The pharah change seems so inconsequential, especially when compared to her counters. She was already at a huge disadvantage when all of her counters were buffed and a new hitscan was added, but now she’s even worse off now that soldier got buffed again and we have yet another hitscan. rip pharah. But hey now pharah can do 3.75 more damage every once in a while
His self-sustain is also weak, and his mobility isn’t that great. Less than Ashe’s coach gun and not instant. It needs to be charged while you’re in crouch.
My question to everyone worried about Baptiste is this: Why is the support with limited mobility and self-sustain staying alive that long in the first place? Target him like you should, and his immortality field becomes less of an issue.
As for destroying the field generator, my son said it took three scoped shots from Ashe. So, whatever those numbers are, I can’t recall off-hand.
She got one change and its pretty crap all things considered. It only helps in the few instances where you just barely hit an enemy, and even then it only adds 3.75 damage. Its not even a real buff, just a revert
They…they actually buffed Sombra without hitting her with a nerf sledgehammer and making the whole thing a net nerf! They actually did it! It’s a meaningless buff in the grand scheme of things, but I am happy to not have to look at another long list of nerfs to accompany a tiny buff yet again. It is very disheartening, especially when none of the data pointed to her being too strong It looks like they are finally learning. It looks like there is finally hope.
