Since you can only play in qp and in custom games, fun should be the 1# priority, and removing aim assist is illogical.
Please turn your brains on blizzard my god.

the logical reason is too improve console players skill level by forcing them too learn how too play without aimassist (plenty of people do it in other games)
im half joking of course. but it seems a goofy thing too complain about
“oh no my soft aimbot is gone in matches with pc players noooooo”
as we have been told: it only effects you if your in a pc lobby, a pc player will never be in a console lobby but several console players can be in a pc lobby (if they queued up with them), effectively you bring it upon yourself to not have aim assist.
dont queue up with pc players and your fine.
Don’t play with friends 4Head.
Also the controller is a physical limitation that I cannot go around, its really a shame that some people think this is ok.
No it isn’t because close range heros cannot even function without aim assist.
Also why would you care about competitiveness if your are playing qp ?
Hey, them’s the breaks. If Console gets aim assist, why can’t I download an aim assist software for my PC? If you have an issue with the latter, you now know why the aim assist is turned off for consoles who group with PC.
Good question! Can you ask it more so that other people can hear you? Why in the world was Role Queue added for quick play, among other changes, to make it fit more like the competitive mode?!
Because you have a mouse ? And i am forced to use a controller? It takes two braincells.
I suggest you get another braincell: I can use a controller if I want to, too.
In fact, some games (like Borderlands 2 and Half Life) will allow you to use aim assist with a mouse anyway, so I think you need two new braincells if you think you have a point. Using a mouse alone isn’t a reason to not have aim assist; the fact that its LITERAL AUTOAIM in a PVP setting is reason to not have it.
Considering console players been complaining about people who use Mouse and Keyboard on console for years now this is a funny post. Sure give console aim assist… but just give it to every one as well if you do.
Console players just love saying how they can compete with mouse users, and it is just PC elitism.
Welcome to the jungle, nobody has aim assist here.
You’re asking too much from them
Because it’s the competitive standard on the platform. Just like it’s the standard on PC not to have it. It would be best if when I played with friends on other platforms we were all playing the game we knew.
On a side note, how good actually is aim assist?
I don’t play on console but I know aim assist is either bullets move slightly to the sides or semi-aimbot.
Good enough to accuse people who use mouse on console of outright cheating.
If you’re playing with friends, you’ve already got an advantage on your hands you can use to work around the lack of aim assist. Better teamwork trumps better aim any day of the week.
Don’t get it twisted, aim assist is far from an aimbot. It’s as the name reads, assistance. It doesn’t play the game for you, and anyone that disagrees is placeboing themselves into thinking that.
Its not actually. Its software that takes some of the burden off aiming for you. Its not literally aimbot, but its also not far from aimbot.
But it does! It does play the game for you! When you put your crosshair over an enemy, it slows it down for you so you can aim better. Its factually playing some of the game for you at all times.
If you think you can skirt by on aim assist alone, you’re crazy. Aim assist won’t fix bad aim, it just makes playing the game feel nicer.
It doesn’t stop you from over or under correcting your aim, it just makes it easier not to.
I didn’t once imply you could. I said its factually software that plays some of the game so you don’t have to, and if consoles can have it, why can’t PCs? If you have some sort of negative reaction to PCs having aim assist, then you now know why consoles shouldn’t have it when queuing with PCs.
Obviously, the real answer is just to allow keyboard and Mouse on consoles. Metro Exodus does that.
Aim assist will absolutely fix bad aim; that’s the idea. Aiming on a console is wack, and aim assist alleviates that. If aim assist doesn’t fix bad aim, its not doing anything.
Which fixes bad aim!
