There is no complexity

I feel as though each time I log in I get less enjoyment out of this game now. Whereas OW1 had me hooked every day. (Except the Hog Zarya meta, we don’t talk about that).

What I’m trying to say is I’m worried about what removing the complexity having tank synergy created, will do to the long term replayability if this game. I’m getting BORED, can’t lie. This is someone who even enjoyed double shields.

I play support rn, output cracked numbers (14k heals per 10, 4/5 elims per life) and feel like I have no real impact on the game. Then, when I pick tank, and just lock hog, ignore the other tank, hook a squishy and I have instant impact.

But there’s nothing stopping me from doing that except sheer damage, to force me back. Like, it feels like I can just play with my brain turned off and it’s just not engaging to me anymore.

Idk if this is an inherent problem with 5v5 or if there is some way they can bring back the complexity to the game by adding obstacles/abilities you have to overcome before getting that kill.

I already uninstalled weeks ago. This is one of the most pointless MP games of all time.

Turtle, you can’t preach about anything being pointless when you’re consistently posting on a forum to a game that you’ve admitted is the most pointless game of all time.

Cmon bro seriously, deconstruct what you’re doing with your time and just dip out. I can’t express the absurdity of it much more than that.

14k heals and you feel like you had no impact? This is a personal issue not a game issue.

Yeah it’s a little boring, Hanzo for example, in OW1 I literally was unable to play with him, he was hard to play for me now is very easy, the lootbox and level removal (they shoud’ve put the mechanic every Multiplayer Online have, you level up and win a prize, in this case a lootbox), the store abusive prices, the broken matchmaking, a lot of problems, the only positive point in OW2 in MY opinion is the free to play, is nice to see some new faces on the lobby and stuff

Yes they can, if everyone who was angry at the game silently left for your convenience you’d sit here and cry and complain about why nobody is here talking to you or playing with you anymore.

Would you say it compares to the absurdity levels of you writing a five line post here with no other content than your complaints about them leaving their 2cents on a forum thread?

On topic: I agree and after finishing my battlepass yesterday (lvl 200, all titles unlocked), I finally feel free and play Darktide now.
I USED to love Overwatch, with Overwatch2 I regret having spent the money on the Watchpoint Pass and in retrospect should’ve rather bought 20kgs of good basmati rice for the money, that fun would’ve lasted until next year at least.

I have to explain to you that pointing out an absurd post isn’t the equivalent of pointing out said absurd post?

edit:sorry this is poorly worded - pointing out an absurdity isn’t itself absurd.

I don’t think you qualify for explaining anything to me, really.

You sit here and scream and shout about someone leaving their opinion on a forum thread about the things that changed in this game, which is something lots of people do recently since the game is in a terrible state.
You join in, complain and try to throw him out of the forums if I read that correctly?

Maybe you should reconsider how you spend YOUR time.

I myself can’t stand the game anymore as well at the state it is in, HOWEVER: every line AGAINST how things are being handled right now are criticism on the official forums. IF critique can matter somewhere then it can matter here, so it is something positive for all of us in the long run.

leave then, goodbye. you dont like the game, so play somethin else

It’s true I’m not enjoying the game atm. Problem is, every other popular FPS game out there is a battle royale, Valorant or csgo.

So it’s a choice of 95% looting 5% shooting, Rito Overwatch but search and destroy, or grandad’s first FPS.

It sucks but overwatch 2 despite currently sucking and not a game I’d recommend, is still the most appealing FPS atm.

OW2 is literally the best out of a mediocre set of games.

Every match has a tired sameness to it.
It’s frustrating since OW2 has the general speed and chaos to it that made me fall in love with OW1.

I don’t even know what the issue is, specifically, but it really feels like some magic spark got lost in translation.

I’m hoping a future update will bring that spark back, whatever it is. Otherwise I only see myself playing (semi) regularly if my friends and I can’t find a new game to play together and one specifically doesn’t quit saying he wants to try it with me.

Evidently I do qualify because I’m not screaming so I should inform you of that. That is your perception. And your perception isn’t my problem. You should moderate your behavior more before writing a manifesto with the wrong preconception on the tone of my post. A reasonable person shouldn’t walk away looking at what I typed as “screaming”.

Secondly, I don’t often post here but he is somehow in every thread I see with the most negative attitude here and making sure everyone knows that he quit. Weeks ago even, if he is to be taken at face value. He doesn’t offer good criticism or critique of the game, certainly when I read his posts anyway.

You can very much write a book about how displeased you are with the game. Plenty of people are upset and post here about it.

Thats fine.

But what turtle posts is very deserving of being pointed out as being absurd, and the fact that you’re equating anything I said to his level tells me you’re either 1) SneakyTurtle, or 2) somehow not understanding some basic concepts

I think maybe you’re missing the context here regarding Sneaky though

Exactly, people think we just being mean and other crap, or we don’t like the game but we are old players and we fell in love with OW1 idea, that’s why we keep commenting and interacting, because we hope that spark back, not only for us but for the new players too, the game isn’t bad but something is missing (weird because OW1 wasn’t perfect or good, but was better that this current state), in MY opinion the only positive point now is the Free to Play. I used to play the game every night but now is something very casual (once a week sometimes)

Complexity should work both way. Otherwise Tank synergy is but a crutch. OW1 had the problem of getting too much free values by easy to synergize Tank line ups.

In my opinion, Overwatch with 2 tanks (as in 6v6) felt more like you had to overcome odds to win. Not just pointlessly throw damage in one direction or the other. You had 2 obstacles to hurdle over, so it was never just ‘counter one tank, wipe the rest’ like it is now.

I’ve been trying to give 5v5 a chance, I’ve played maybe 25 games so far? I still hate it, it doesn’t feel right. It feels like making tanks brawlers just removed the tank role altogether. Now it’s just Supports and DPS…some of which have more health than others and some of which come with shields.

Bookmarked and going into research.

I’m fairly desens’ed to all this fiasco now but food, food is 100% important.

After today’s disgustingly toxic QP games (and even Arcade…) I’m done with every mode except Custom Games and Team Deathmatch. The other modes are garb now.
Hopefully the pVe one is fun.

Pretty sure this is the 2nd major holiday in US after public beta launch right? Not unexpected. At least at Halloween kids go outside.

I really accepted the 5x5 very well, but the Doomfist Tank thing…no, that was an cursed and trashy idea
