(look at masquerade comic before reading)
His face looks humanized:
something looks like hair
two human-like eyes (why does max need it?? it see without them)
something resembling lower jaw (for what? design from its creator?)
another guesswork, if max was a human, this makes sense why doomfist asking about his luck, when robots dont play, i doubt he did not used to know about it…
I think he was and always was an Omnic; probably more advanced in appearance than most other. I believe there are more like him. It also depends where he was built, who had built him, who designed him, and what his initial purpose was.
From what we know, Omnics became sentient at some point and began to take control over their own lives. Why wouldn’t that include advancing their appearance as a whole?
Interesting theory, but he’s probably just a really fancy looking Omnic. He was probably a newer model, maybe made after the Crisis. Based on his profession, and the strikingly human similarities, his original function was to work at a casino. Deal cards, serve drinks, that sort of thing.
interesting how from waiter or crupier maximilien became talon leader. looking at waitron (its newer model maybe), they are just staff without own mind. And when it used lower jaw when it was waiter or crupier. Or maximilien had own mind and personality to entertain people? what?
i dont think so, but in kings row omnics are slaves
in factories, everything is possible
I think he experienced what some Omnics call, “The Awakening”. It’s the term used to describe the process of an AI being gaining sentience beyond it’s programming. In other words, it’s when a robot starts to “live”. It gains it’s own thoughts, opinions, makes it’s own decisions, and even displays it’s own emotions.
Somewhere along the line, Max experienced this. That is when he became more than a casino worker. That’s when he became his own person.
Either way hes a high functioning Omnic and has naturally taken on characteristics that suit his lifestyle, he doesnt seem like the kind of character to be directly involved in battle so he can afford himself some nice duds and a bit of a hair piece situation.
Also from what it seems he is heavily involved in situations surrounded by people so his more human qualities serve to only “humanize” him in an effort to blend in.
Not to mention his affiliation with talon means he would have to have a more unique identity to other omnics since to obtain a seat of power (in our world as well as theres it seems) you have to look and dress the part.
