You have to either police toxic activity or ignore it. The devs have said that they want to police it with the Defense Matrix initiative.
Everything you’ve said about diff could apply to racism, sexism, etc too. By your take, people should just ignore everything. But that isn’t a good environment.
If that’s attitude that drives people away from using comms or frankly away from multiplayer games entirely.
