I have calculated chance to face smurf to 5%. Based on around 350 Bronze - plat games. I will have more accurate calculation with more games played

are you sure theyre smurfing and not cheating? i run into far more cheaters than smurfs. ive found that most players mislabel cheaters as smurfs as well. i can understand it though because when you see someone popping off on a fresh account, its pretty natural to immediately assume its a smurf. but cheaters also typically have fresh accounts due to the fact that what happens when you ban one, they just make a new account. i recently made a post about this as well. if youre not sure what to look for, go look at one of the responses in that post. there are 3 replay codes that have people blatantly cheating in them.

Since Iām diamond on dps Iāve encountered way more smurfs than ever before (EU ps4) and it sucks If i lose to them but to be honest at the same time I donāt think theyāre holding me back and I just want to improve because even when some matches are ruined I would definitely get rolled in masters
Donāt get me wrong. Iām not saying that I should be GM, hell no Iām not even close. Iām talking about the difference between sitting high mid or low within your rank. Smurfs have a major impact on that and especially for the lower ranks itās a world of difference.
so i got silver (with all roles) after getting queue with plats (with all roles) and getting 2-4 winstreaks (WITH ALL ROLES)
and some people wonder why i dont play rankedā¦
im not saying i would be plat but probably high gold or something
On console smurfs run rampant as they donāt have to pay for the game twice
genuinely at least 1 surf per 3 games, yesterday I was 5 stacking and we came up against a 5 stack of smurfs and we didnāt stand a chance

So thatās where itās hard to tell the difference, the subtle cheats are harder to tell from GM level gameplay simply bcuz I havenāt played against GMs and so I have no idea on how to distinguish, usually I end up calling them smurfs, the cheaters Iāve encountered are accounts over 100 levels.

Smurfs arenāt always on the enemy team? It balances out at 50/50, blaming your rank on smurfs is a null argument.

Large stacks run into smurf groups more often than say a duo or trio, as a mostly solo player, I havenāt seen 3 actual smurfs from a much higher rank in over 60 games.
I have to disagree with this, as almost all players fluctuate +/- 250 SR until they improve and deserve the higher rank.
This is the perfect mindset to have while playing.

pretty easy to find out if you go back and watch the replay. if youve watched any decent players on youtube or streams or w/e, you should have an idea of what their aim style looks like. also their positioning is should be a dead giveaway as well.

This might be hard to believe, but low gm is full of 4.5k+ alts, and OWL players on alts. Iām not sure how big the skill gap is between 4000-4500, but I imagine itās something like dropping a Plat/Diam player into an actual low Silver game with no smurfs.

Can confirm, yesterday i had 4!!! smurfs in my team, 2 below lv 50, 2 60-70. It was a stomp.
2 days ago i played most matches against smurfs, lost probably over 200+SR.
Its toxic smurfwatch at this point.

Lost approximately 400sr being matched against a smurf team on 7 games in a row!For me itās not about the sr but mostly the game has stopped being fun to me!I cant play the game without getting frustrated by the sheer amount of throwing,deranking and cheating!i am taking some time off the game and honestly it sucks that I feel frustrated even entering the game

Yep. Itās made the rating system completely pointless.
Where are all these smurfs? My last 100 games have been smurf free.
Donāt remember anyone having a big enough impact to be called a smurf
