There’s always the manner of the contract/agreement with BCRF.
If the agreement is that the skin is time limited to that charity event only, there’s nothing more to be said. Or if re-release is subject to BCRF approval, it’s not just Blizzard’s call.
Personally I don’t mind if it gets re-released so long as BCRF gets the same amount of donation per skin. One cent less and I will call out the cheapskates.
But if Blizzard no longer has a say, all the demands for Pink Mercy is of no use. Those who can’t accept that should move on.
despite the delay/wait…the principle remains the same - donations are maximized when both groups are appealed to
Diminishing returns are better then no returns.
So everybody only wants it for the skin and nobody cares about breast cancer. The only difference is that a lot of the people also don’t want other people to have it.
Personally as someone that has this skin I think they may as well have another fundraiser and let people get it again. I see absolutely no downside to this other than making some crazy people angry.
As someone who has the Pink Mercy skin, I would be more than happy if they put it back in the game so long as it was tied to a charitable donation again.
I’d also love for a way to earn some other limited time skins that I’ve missed, like Bastet Ana. It would be neat if they did some of those “unattainable” skins like they had the Vault recently.
this statement has been disproven multiple times
I find this item largely irrelevant to the discussion, given that if person x wishes to purchase item y the feelings of others that x shoudlnt be permitted to do so are not relevant at all
“Disproven” is a strong word. Although the use of the word “everybody” was obviously hyperbole. Obviously there are some people that care, albeit not many would donate if they didn’t get anything in return.
Hence my recommendation that they should have another fundraiser and offer it again.
the word is correct in this context
I do not find it to be obvious, even upon re-reading
It was stated as if it were fact
Further, even if I were to assume that hyperbole was intended, I do not see any value in using hyperbole in any serious discussion
I’d like to see the data supporting this statement
I honestly do not believe such data exists, and ergo, such an opinion is entirely unsupported
this is imo an excellent idea
I’d go as far to say - and have said many times before - that they should offer it yearly in October, which is BC Awareness Month
Of course not. Which is why it also isn’t “disproven”. Honestly, you seem a bit crazy in the head.
I would say most of the players who got the skin would not have bothered with the charity by itself, and that includes me.
So I won’t deny others getting the skin for vanity reasons.
Same.
In reality, if there is a legal obstacle disallowing the return of the Pink Mercy skin, there is very little that can be done. I just want people to realize that.
I 100% agree with you! I think it’d be a great idea to bring back the skin to not only raise money once again, but to allow other players buy the skin, such as switch players. It’s very ignorant of players to use the skin because it shows you’ve been playing for a while now or because it’s “pretty”. People need to understand the skin event came out to not only spread awareness, but to allow people to donate to such a huge cost that costs the lives of many women. I do not care if they bring the skin back, but it’d be nice to see people wanting to donate for this cause.
All I want is to be able to transfer the skin from my PS4 account to my PC account.
They did mention that they are working on cross save, so I’m sure skins are part of it too.
that kind of sucks but yea i agree they should re-release it. hopefully the charity money actually goes to where it says it does. cynical side of me doesnt trust charity organizations. scalpers making more money is kind of lame tho comparing it should go to people who need the money

Wait, really?! That’s huge if that is true!
it is imo highly unlikely that such an obstacle exists, and in the unlikely event that it does, it is highly unlikely that it couldnt be dealt with given two willing parties in the agreement
if one cares about the lives of the women affected, one cares about the skin coming back
if they bring it back, it should be for the same charity

If I were the BCRF, I wouldn’t run this again with Blizz at this time. I agree it should only come back with them though.
