And what is unexpected here? That’s what you got to make game around.
Relying on strangers to do anything is last thing I would like to be doing.
You can’t deny, though, that Blizzard, after making many tank/support players leave game with their constant BS changes/updates/reworks, finally realized, that they created themselves big problem. And they attempt to solve it in only way they know - by bribing DPS players with lootboxes and coins, so they would pick tank/support, ruin few games, as expected, and get their reward to not pick those roles again, until next reward.
While few may actually become tanks/supports, amount of “collateral damage” from their attempt to incentivize DPS players to pick them is really high.
Imagine if we had an Overwatch with 15 tanks 17 dps and 15 Healers, I don’t think we would still see a constant mirror match meta I mean having the choice between 13 other tanks to counter sigma/Orisa would be paradise. And I think it can do good the the queue time. I’am really having trouble understanding the 3 heroes a year philosophy. The game is aleready 3 years old… Overwatch feels like a huge open beta to me.
I hope that if Overwatch 2 is a thing it will bring a whole lot of new heroes and fix many of current live version issues.

Stopped playing shortly after it was implemented because they srewed up game balance big time and refuse to revert GOATS nerfs.
I am tired of people shouting at me when I pick Winston or D.Va, so go Tank yourselves or enjoy your long queue times
Wow. I agree so much. The game is becoming so unpopular… in fact my friends do not play anymore the game is not worth the time as they say lol, i’am the only one from the band who’s still playing a bit here and there. This game had such a great start ! I never thought it would end up in this situation :(.
Power Creep is still a massive myth and fantasy perpetrated by people who are not paying close enough attention (with Genji as my evidence)
The OPs first 3 complaints are all the same… I actually kinda like Paris and think the Doomfist one is silly. The MMR system is functioning fine (you ARE the SR you deserve) and if they are not doing anything then why communicate.
The only complaints I do agree with are that I do wish some heroes had better synergy but there that has always been the case and I like that at least now I am guaranteed to have 2 heals rather then not having that at all and that I wish we had more heroes per year.
I’am sorry but I see 3 very distinct complaints…
The first one I about the queue times which I guess only apply to dps since tanks and Healers almost insta tag.
The second is about the number of tank and healer HEROES.
And the third is about the lack of heal/tank PLAYERS. At least that’s how I understand it .
I also wish we could have more heroes. And also more dynamic patches. The traditional 6-8 month drought is getting a bit old.
Except the only thing that could be considered a fact in the ENTIRE OP was a number about active players which he has zero access which means everything he said was an OPINION which is NOT a fact. Calling it a fact is a lie. Now you can say other people share your OPINION but that does NOT make it fact. It is still an opinion. A lot of people believing something does not make it true (as history backs).
Yes but all 3 of those are the same complaint and the things it causes.
The 3rd complaint is the reason for the first so they are the same. I will say I misread the second but as the ratio for DPS to Healer/Tank characters has shrunk over the years that issue is largely the 3 heroes per year issue. So basically you could shrink his opinions down drastically and remove redundancy

Its not like you typed much but I’m sorry the definition of words is hard. For example, the fact that Paris is bad is your opinion. It is not a fact, just an opinion. It is a fact that we have 3 hero releases a year, but that it is bad is your opinion (which for the record I share).
When you complain about something you are giving your opinion. Passing off your opinion as fact is either dishonest or far too arrogant.

You are getting offended at the definitions of words. I did not accuse you of making up anything, I accused you of taking your opinions and portraying them as facts which they are not.
You are giving your opinions on things you find wrong with the game. Others may share them or they may, but that doesn’t change that they are opinions. Its a very key distinction but when you present your opinions as facts it leaves you unable to accept someone else’s thoughts and opinions as equally valid, which they are.
Dude. This is super obnoxious. There’s a discussion here and we are focused on your personal squabble you have with the poster for some reason. It is clear if you have eyes that everyone at every play level is unhappy with the game state atm. Yes there is powercreep it is not a myth. How? They were trying to get rid of GOATS for over a year without turning it to 2-2-2 so, they were buffing stuff like reaper etc. so that he could take down the tanks faster. The game is for sure inflated at the moment and that seems to be a common agreement across the board the only really thing being discussed is between whether it’s heal or powercreep. The answer is both, but shrug someone has to be the one that is right I suppose.
2 things: EVERYONE is a massive stretch. I know plenty of people who play some of the meta heroes who quite enjoy the current meta. Personally I hate that it might be a meta as oppressive as GOATS in terms of viability but to say everyone hates it is just incorrect. You can only speak for you and people who have told you but cannot speak for everyone.
Also to explain why I call powercreep a myth (at least for DPS) requires a very simple process. At the start of the game who was one of the two top DPS? Genji. Until double barrier locked every DPS that isnt a brawler out of the meta who was one of the top 3 DPS picks? Genji. So Genji was still a top 3 DPS pick DESPITE the fact that he is far weaker then he was at launch. The 4th strongest is McCree who is also weaker then he was at launch in either his McSniper mode or his crazy flash fan roll fan mode. So to call it powercreep is inaccurate, its more accurate to say they are trying to get everyone up to the same level which unfortunately destroys certain characters viability.
Overall a lot of your complaints are things you can completely avoid by playing a different class/hero. Yes some of it falls on Blizz’s lack of new events and inability to balance without making huge changes (they go big when minor tweaking is all that’s needed).
You are hyperfocused on just countering what other people say and nitpicking the conversation. It lowers the chance of me actually listening to what you have to say and I assume many others as well. Obviously not everyone on the damn planet that plays the video game. Very few people actually mean everyone ever.
On to the point. Very many people I have talked to; more than 90% considering I haven’t heard anyone that like the meta. If you main 1 hero that is in the meta then ofc you like the meta. So, it doesn’t really make sense to be focusing on what is going to be a small amount of the population of the people playing the game’s opinion doesn’t really serve a purpose.
In the end, you talk to the people here like we are self-interested, which also doesn’t make sense. I don’t believe I’ve shown that I’m just interested in the heroes that I main. Its more fun when more heroes can be played.
It doesn’t matter in the end. If people aren’t having fun playing the game then they just won’t.
