The people of Junkertown didn't know Hammond was a Hamster?

But during some after-credit images in the Wastelander Cinematic, you can see Geiger, Queen and Hammond, just there, out of his mech, being all Hamster-y and stuff.

COMPLETLY UNPLAYABLE!

They must have thought it was Wrecking Ball’s pet or something.

Isn’t it a bit much to expect a basic sense of continuity from the Overwatch team by this point? These guys can barely write a five issue comic series without messing with things.

There were a few retcons with this latest drop. For example, the Junkerqueen was originally pitched to us as a “Gladitorial Mech Champion” but that’s not the case here anymore.

Likewise, Hammond seems to be common knowledge, at least among her inner circle, which includes people like Meri and Geiger.

As for timelining… The email we got with a blurb about the hero said that she was the ruler for a decade. But that doesn’t make sense, Junkrat was in the short and he’s only 26 in the present. Was that supposed to be him at 16?

Yes. He just, uh, smokes a lot of cigarettes, that’s why his voice is like a grown man’s. Yes, that’s it.

The email is not in-game, in-universe, there for not cannon

Junker Queen knew, or now knows.

She has a line with D.Va where she suspects her of being a hamster due to her mech.

It’s worth noting that in Junkrat’s interaction, he is aware of Hammond’s existence. He just doesn’t know he’s the pilot or believe it when he’s told. So unless it was stated otherwise, it could be the same for the rest of Junkertown. Some or all have seen the hamster, but they don’t make the connection.
