So at the start of the new season i played ranked and got my rank but then i started focusing on stadium only. i won alot of stadium which then gave me alot of sr which made my skill rank on cassidy plat while i was gold 2. and now whenever i try to play a game of comp i always play againt sweaty plat 1 players while my teammates are like gold 5. like wtf, its not fair. stadium comp and normal comp is totally different things and should be treated as such regarding the Sr. please help me!

Hero sr isn’t actually used for matchmaking, nor is it particularly accurate. My SR on Tracer is Champ 5, yet I’m GM2
Don’t worry about it dude, it’s not affecting your games in any way. It’s something you can point to as a little flex

That is not how it works. Its trying to find you a team of people around your rating. If there are groups the group rating is averaged (plus a few other things that we dont really know about) but in general they are trying to find you an even game.
To be more specific while its trying to find an average match of everyone at the same level it is also trying to make sure one person on the other team (of your role) is of the same level as you no matter what. That part usually only applies to higher rated matches though and Plat 1 is not that.

I was high plat (2) last season, and my placements currently are predicting I’m gold 4… My teammates also suck or I’m getting a load of newbies.
