The New Sombra changes force more downtime

As he sad, that part of her kit was mostly buffed.

she is definitely worse, spawn camping seems to be the best bet, that or switching to tracer

The most important part, her DPS, was unchanged. She’s still actually a pretty bad duellist.

I don’t think it was a nerf so much as just making her tactical plays better. She is definitely a champion who needs to work together with the team. I think if the team works well, then she will be fine. If she is doing her own thing it will hurt the team though yes.

Nothing about her tactical play got better. Its just easier to position for people who had no clue how to manage her durations.

Eh she can get anywhere she needs to be now without stress or running out of time. Everything about her is easier. It has to be done with your team like I said though. Only high skill players benefit.

No when things get easier, new players benefit. High skill players who always were able to do that dont profit.

Please. Stop saying she’s easier. She isn’t. She’s just a trap that feels like you can do something without actually being effective in doing anything. Her win rates will tell you that. 35% in Bronze they dropped to, that is not the sign of an easy hero.

I mean easier to do specific things, not easier to be successful overall.

Yeah, easier to do the wrong things. This is why she’s a trap hero.

There is no arguing that.

Well, she is easier, but not in a way bronze players can access. Sombra needs strong game sense to use Hack and EMP properly, and very strong mechanics to get value out of her gun.

One week of statistics isn’t much to go off of, but in every tier above Bronze, her average winrate has increased or stayed about the same - despite an increase in pick rate, which should mean a decrease in winrate, because new players are trying to learn her.

The rework definitely made Sombra more accessible in a healthy way.

She averages currently at 0.75% pickrate (third last) and 47,08% winrate this week. The changes are for all intents and purposes a failure statswise. They thought they had to nerf her to compensate for making her more accessable, yet she struggles to even reach the 1% pickrate mark.

“Healthy”

How is the first video fair? The reworked sombra isn’t even using TL even though it doesn’t remove the invis. It’s much faster because of it.

Even then it’s almost just as fast, so overall it would be faster with one TL use.

Winrate and pickrate are still too definitely low, but they’re higher than before. So statistically, the rework was a success, or at least moved Sombra in the right direction. Now they can tune her from here.

Their self proclaimed goal was to make her stronger. They didnt achieve that. Its a failure.

If more people are playing Sombra and collectively winning more often, then she is stronger. Not strong enough, but it’s an improvement. Why ignore progress?

Because stats are inflated at the beginning. She will go downwards from here. Once the hype dies around “new” Sombra changes less and less people will play her.

So you say, and there’s a good chance you’re right. That’s not evidence, though. We need more time to gather statistics, but the conclusions we can draw so far are positive.

This is a good idea.

I like to use Sombra to be invisible the whole match. I just run around behind the enemy team, er
“scouting,” as I’m told this is what she’s for now. Once and a while I’ll type into chat “they have a rein” so my teammates don’t know I’m actually throwing.
