They did the same on EU for a bit (and kept asking for a dog hero…). Seems to have stopped recently.

I still don’t get why people have such a phobia when it comes to answering an old thread (if the topic is related to what they were looking for).

However, if someone does it on purpose, it could be annoying but I feel like you guys are overexaggerating. The forum is doing just fine. It’s not like it’s a raid or something…

It’s not that, it’s just annoying when the rules are set for the forums, but there’s a failure by the moderators to implement those rules, whereas I’ve seen threads/comments being removed for lesser reasons.

They need to make up their minds on when to enforce the forum rules. And by the looks of it, it appears to be when it suits them.

Oh this is why I opened the forum and I see all threads are “I had bacon for breakfast” “Hello everyone” and “I farted in voicechat” from some years ago…

so whoever is the mod is deleting his messages in real time? Because all i can see are his posts from 2022 and there are not recent messages except its pushed to the top.

its also ironic bc i got flagged for being inappropriate and got my message deleted when i called out ZZZZZZ for necrosing and spamming the forums with 16 messages about his dog

There’s a lot of weird modding going on around here lately, it’s just…surreal. Post something joking? Suspended. Post something constructive? Gets false flagged. Post something offensive full of slurs/racism? Takes 2/3 days to get removed.

i just dont get how someone could flag me (except ZZZZZZ himself) for being inappropriate and then the moderators go out of their way to delete my message instead of the guy spamming the forums with the video of his dog, I dont see how Microsofts culling has affected the forums moderation team

Yeah it’s unreal with some of the weird shenanigans that have been happening.

Though in hindsight, probably a result of all the culling that happened a while back to the Blizz staff. If you think it’s bad here…EU forums are incredibly desolate now because nobody bothers. So much worse.

It is yeah. There’s a seperate EU forums, but they’re pretty much deserted tbh. I’m an EU player (UK), and I’ve given up on them and the EU servers for a reason. Just not worth the pain.

Just google Overwatch EU forums, and you’ll see how deserted they really are. Pretty sad really.

Edit-Oh yeah-and you’ll see our friend ZZZZZZZZZZ over there as well lol

He’s also infested the EU forums-and they’re not even banned. Makes a mockery of the moderation of these forums

I didn’t even know it was a rule, tbh… and it’s hilarious to see some people in this community being so offended by “necromancers” on forums while some of them (and I recognize their usernames) have been toxic in here for so many years and did way worse than necro-ing some old threads (omg, people reviving an old thread should be sent to jail) :sweat_smile:…

Or maybe, they only take actions when it’s something very insulting, toxic or too political. There’s an hierarchy in terms of punishment on forums or in society (even though, I understand it might be confusing to some US citizens, considering how nonsensical a lot of prison sentences are in their country).

The EU has always been a cemetery, even when Overwatch was popular and not a niche game between 2016-2018. Most EU players that are fluent in English hang in here 'cause none of them would be finding any helpful threads or info on the EU version of the forum.
