1 extra second is a lot in the fast paced game call overwatch so yeah i’m “overreacting” to something that should be talked and worried about for the mercy community and everyone in it

You’re gonna have to lean into using the passive change to accomodate the extra time waiting to use ga.

Some people actually have tried it, and there are videos out of it already. But in many or most situations you have to use your GA off cooldown to stay alive. It also throws off some of the rest of her kit. The timing of everything is just off. Though they say mainly just GA and healing (ult and passive aside), it also affects her healing/damage beam as well as ressurection; and not in a good way.

what if everyone is full health and your getting dived by a genji with no help and you have to wait and 2.5 seconds to run away. your gonna get the genji combo with 3 shurikens and a blade in ur dead body

This is the OW forum, over reacting to changes and claiming heroes are “dead” for these type of adjustments is just a Tuesday mate.

Again, nuclear take many don’t want to hear:
If you really needed to spam GA to stay alive, you are not really good with positioning in the first place.

There we go. Someone had to say it and there it is :man_shrugging:

you need to spam it when ur getting dived by a d.va stopping ur regen or a genji dashing then ulting

Sometimes, even Mercy has to die.

mercy has to die but that doesn’t mean she has to die every team fight

No no no, you see, those weren’t this beautiful angelic character that they can self insert into so it’s totally fine

Not really. You should have it available if you dont spam it, god forbid you only use it when its actually needed.

Outrageous innit?
Literally 1 proper use + sling jump works and pretty much any other Support dies, but god forbid Mercy does.

If you unironically think Mercy is easier to kill than any other support except Bap/Kiriko (Hi, its me, I’m invulnerable), you need to think again mate.

Generally if there is a Mercy in a match she tends to be the focus, so even if you are behind cover, you are still very vulnerable. This is actually why you do need the maneuverability. She is meant to heal and boost people more than she is meant to pump damage like other support heroes. When she gets jumped, you really do have to ga out of there, generally unless you have no choice or you have your ult, or the person is low and you think you can kill them. So yes, no amount of proper positioning can save a now not really mobile hero that is also a not really offensive hero, who has to rely on low health teammates to also heal herself quickly. Teammates are also not often the type to turn around and try to help or peel for you so…

with 2.5 on a single short use of a ga then yeah she is easier to kill

I’m sure the devs care a lot.

The less Mercys we see in the next weeks, the healthier for the game. So no loss for this game if angry Mercy mains leave.

thanks for ur opinion but no

Ah, you must not be able to aim.

You hit the nail on the head. They aren’t playing a game, they are trying to roleplay a character they wish they were in real life. Hence why they throw tantrums when Mercy doesn’t get a mythic skin.

Mate again, lets not blatantly lie and pretend many mercy players just spam GA mindlessly because its brutally and stupidly easy to do that.
Again lets not lie and pretend she is getting jumped on or focused every 1.5 seconds. This is 100% false.

Play literally any other Support and try to do what Mercy does (with WASD) and see if you can survive and what positioning requirements do you need.

No.
She is less hard to kill. There is a HUGE difference.
