Exactly. The fact is that if these forums were representaive of the actual player base, there wouldn’t be any recognized faces here, basically because every thread would be started by an user you never seen before. How many regular posters do we have here? Divide that with 40+ million active players and then multiply with 100 to get the percentage of players posting here in percent compared to players over all… It’s an extremely small number. Even youtubers with followers in the tens of thousands only speak for, or to, fractions of percents of the player base.
Not that you can’t see certain trends, or that players here aren’t important, but Blizzard have user data from millions and millions more players than the ones expressing opinions here or anywhere else.
