Doubt it, the game just has too many problems that became glaringly obvious once people started to figure it out after the first month or so.
The game just copied a lot of stuff from other games without understanding what made them work and just cheaply put them together. The balance is absolutely abysmal with the same busted stuff still completely dominating the game since launch, the monetization in the game is pretty trash too with bland and blatantly AI generated weapon skins being sold for 10 to 20 dollars. The optimization is STILL horrible with the game trying itās hardest to just cook your CPU. Thereās no reason to gate weapons and gadgets behind the VR system either, all it does is make the game less accessible to new players since a lot of the broken stuff & anti cheese stuff is locked behind it. I think this goes back to copying stuff from other games without understanding why it works, it just seems like the devs trying to create a fake sense of progression
I donāt think itās a lack of content or anything that made the game die, there are just too many design flaws with the game that leave it as nothing more than that one flavor of the month game.

Itās not even desperation for the right reason of loving the game. Itās desperation to try and convince others to leave OW for it because they suck so bad on OW.
From what Iāve learned being on this forum for the longest time is itās a place that a lot of people go to vent when they are either losing rank or getting clapped in quickplay so they can beg the devs for buffs to their characters to try to give them an advantage again.

A 5v5 mode? Theyāre not just going into The Finals 2 and completely obliterating game modes that people like? Theyāre having 5v5 in addition to whatever standard modes they had?

The problems of The Finals is much bigger than the format.
It is hard to anticipate what will happen next. People can attack from anywhere, including through the geometry. Jump pads, movement abilities (like hook), jumping up the buildings etc.etc. It creates a mess, where you have no chance of knowing what happens next, which prevents you from planning anything. All you can do is stay on the move and hope that you see the enemy before they see you.
5v5 will not make a difference in this regard.
Certainly The Finals was fun for a little, until you realize the weaknesses.

100% agree. They would need some other overhauls. They just threw a bunch of powers and weapons in a game mode without considering them. A shame since certain elements of gameplay are a lot of fun. I donāt have high hopes for it personally.

Oh my god who cares? The Finals is made by passionless devs who choice to use AI instead of actually going and doing proper voice acting. I could care less what the game is considering they couldnāt be bothered actually making the game.

Iād say thatās 1 of 5 major (and I mean major) flaws with the game. So yeah if they solve that itās a step in the right direction. Game modes was another.

You are essentially talking about ear candy. What does that have to do with gameplay?
You have to remember that the company behind The Finals is an indie company. Putting the better part of their financial means on voice actors was probably not the priority.

I somewhat agree, their behavior and treatment of the game is a bit odd. Thereās certainly no Jeff Kaplan.
Hopefully someone out there is paying attention to failures like this and can combine them into an actual banger. Using destruction and chaos as a gameplay element is a pretty fun idea but they just didnāt pull it off.

Iād honestly be eager to play that game. If they actually make it themselves and generate it, I would legitimately be there, day 1, excited to play.
Like Iāve been enjoying Valorant, would love to play essentially Just Cause 3 the multiplayer competitive fps
