The finals is actually a lot of fun for tanks, never had so much fun dying before lol. The heavy has this charge ability, and if you combine it with a sledgehammer you literally charge through walls and wreck everything. I only played one night, but I literally spent all night destroying stairs and entire floors and flying out of the building to my death accidentally as I did it. I was giggling like a mad man. I was not doing well, but it was a lot of fun.
The same thing as every game nowadays like Palworld. The launch blows up then we forget that how “revolutional” the game was supposed to be.
And they dont know nothing neither, this kind of posts irradiates insecurity towards the game they are suppossed to defend lol

Regardless, it’s crazy that the overwatch community still has to learn the lesson about “[x] killer” that WoW players did. Overwatch is slightly less safe on the competition front, but I am still very confident that not much has the ability to “kill” it. Valorant already came out, for example.

im just waiting for season 2 to start i already finished the Battle pass for this season halfway though season 1 and stopped playing to me the finals can be fun but since im a solo player it sure can be frustrating as well
My issue with the finals is that it’s way too slow. Even light is just…eeeeh…still kinda slow and doesn’t really fit into the core gameplay loop.

This happens with every 2020s mobility shooter. It gets popular during beta, people hype it as the best game ever made, it’ll kill Overwatch/Apex/COD, it’ll be the next big esport. It releases, remains popular for 2 weeks during the sponsored streamer phase, then fades into obscurity later.
It happened with Hyperscape, it happened with Splitgate, it happened with XDefiant. Nobody should be surprised, because at the end of the day these games are just bland as heck and are designed to appeal to 16 year old adderall-addicted wannabe pro players.
I’m pretty sure it’s literally impossible for another game to kill any blizz game. Blizzard is too big to fail.

Hyperscape was sabotaged by the people making it. It was barely advertised and was on bloody Ubisoft’s version of steam. There was zero chance of success even if it were something like Fortnite lol

What happens to any game that has his popularity boosted by streamers. New world is another good example.

That is another issue I have with it, honestly kind of salty that a majority of these guys left dice and let battlefield rot. BF3-BF1 era was just back to back master class FPS games.
Not really. Fortnite and Overwatch don’t even have the same genre. The two are more than capable of coexisting. All games inevitably lose players overtime. The only reason so many players dropped was because team 4 is terrible at maintaining the game.
Makes you wonder what was going on behind the scenes at dice.
Meanwhile EA is now gatekeeping Battlefront 3 because they’re still salty about the lootboxes lol
