They answered a lot of questions the community had and it went above my expectations so i think it was a good update but, still nothing on bastion…
Does bastion actually exist in overwatch or is it just my imagination🤔
Other then that i think the developer update was good.

Disappointed that they’re gonna keep lying about the success of Symmetra’s rework
Nope, nothing, they talked about the torbjorn rework and said i’d be on ptr later today along with pharah changes and minor soldier 76 and mccree buffs, beyond that they talked about how they’re going to be focusing on hero balance and quality of life changes for the foreseeable future.
They also talked about the halloween terror event, the mode won’t change much but they’ll add a brand new boss and a new halloween themed reskin for a map, it also seems like there’ll be more cosmetics this time compared to the summer games.
depends on what you define success as.
if you mean that she’s now playable and fun and more interactive? then yes it was a success.
if you mean her pick rates went up like crazy, then no it wasn’t.
Her winrate went down and she’s less useful. That ain’t successful
What questions did it answer? The main question was “where our content at, though” and their answer was “we are shifting direction that we already shifted, pls understand.” I am pretty disappointed to be honest.
The lowest it gets is 52% and that’s only in bronze. Basically every other rank have far better winrates.
People don’t flip out when they have a sym anymore, she actually has a more defined role in terms of how to function with the team so it’s easier to play around and with a Sym.
Having the community change its perception of Sym for the better with a rework is a success in my book.
To be fair the symmetra changes came out around the same time as private profiles so we can’t go by stats anymore, i’d say she hasn’t improved but she’s now equally weak/powerful on attack as she is on defense.
She never had a win rate problem, she had a viability problem. She was like at 60% win rate and no one wanted her on the team.
Nothing cool for me, didn’t enjoy.
Just some more character updates, no content leaks, just some more tweaks

it’s easier to setup her turrets, and faster
her teleporter actually is not a “delayed rezz” anymore
and her ult is really good and can win a second point in 2cp on it’s own
The improvements to color blind mode seem awesome and thats a great feature that might take a lot of work since it allows you to tune silhouettes and the color that works better for the player.
Many things on overview and most of them good but of course people are going to throw BS “Because they didnt say anything about me hero memememememe ME ME!”

True, that’s why i only rated it as good, it wasn’t great or amazing but it did clarify a bunch of things, the day when they break the formula and announce something unexpected is what i’m waiting for.
I agree but i went in with low expectations, maybe that’s why i think it was fine, at least they clarified a bunch of things, it didn’t really feel like they were going to announce anything because blizzcon is soon anyways, if they don’t announce anything lore related at blizzcon then everyone can burn everything to the ground
I wait to see Pharah and Torb changes, i also hope to see QoL buffs and bug fixes for Mei’s abilities

Previously, she had a higher winrate and a higher pickrate. For Blizzard to somehow make her more niche after the rework while making her winrate lower is a success in bad design I suppose.
There is only an issue with using Overbuff’s statistics if there’s is evidence that a specific demographic of people do not have public profiles enabled. Unless you’re making that assertion, then the sample size is reliable.
