Btw Moira was pretty major support rework, the beta floodgates have just been opened and here I am looking at 10 minute DPS/Tank ques, instant support que and I don’t even see Moira played that much.
So this is my reality. Even if I did enjoy the new playstyle this obviously isn’t it.
Moira’s playstyle before garbage rework:
Touch-spray to apply hot. Longer puffs to heal damaged players. Do I have enough healing resource to spare a damage orb? If yes, is there a low hp enemy squishy? If yes, is my team’s hp good enough (oversimplification) for me to go after the wounded squishy? If yes, fade and attack squishy. Should I use damage orb or healing orb? Is target dead? Is my fade already off cd? Back to my team. Similar decision making when dove on by dps.
Does my team need burst healing? Longer spray and healing orb, making it bounce to make the most out of it. Can i do M2 while my healing orb is healing my team to build resource?
I think I saw a flanker go into that room/corridor, can I spare a damage orb to check it out?
Moira’s playstyle after garbage rework:
Spray and healing orb. Tickle enemies only to build resource if and when you get the chance. Hold on to necro orb until the situation arises to use it. And if it does, after you use it, you’ll be healing cause your M2 only tickles so why use it?

nah she was a damage support, moira could have most damage in some games

yeah it does feel pretty bad now, pretty sure she just went from one of the best to the worst support in the game.
I already had limited healing, but it worked because of the damage orbs to augment my normal damage when you dove in, now you have to dive in and probably die.
Why play moira at all now over mercy or any other healer that doesn’t have such limited support ability etc.

Also if Moira has the most damage at any point, either that team sucks or Moira isn’t doing her job properly. She’s not supposed to carry the damage on her back at all. She’s supposed to bounce back and forth as the situation calls for it.

liked her old style better. like people have said you could do so many things with her old kit. i use to like going after healers like ana just because dps usually were trying to kill the healbotted tank. i mean you actually could make plays with her and make a difference. this version of moira is all about LONG cooldowns and being lucky to land your necrotic orb then having to wait 16 seconds again. basically a healbot hoping your team is competent. maybe at the highest elos lol?
The concept is best for a new hero. It’s not like it’s first time Blizzard moved a ability to another hero. They could have this weakened ability to a new hero for example a ult.
Or her own ult…coalescence isn’t exactly on my favorite ult list either…I’d be down for that version
Anyone who thinks the old damage orb is superior to weaken orb has no clue about Overwatch or they were one of those DPS Moiras farming bad players in lower ranks.

It’s about the shift in her playstyle and her role in the game. It’s about her feeling totally different and bland/boring to play!
Personally I never cared about Moira, and found her kit a bit…too easy to get value. Still, this new version of Moira is not good.
Weaken itself is too strong, and now it kinda feels sorta boring to play her.
My suggestions, if they want to keep Weaken then it needs to be scaled back to like…15% maybe 20% dmg reduction at most.
Give back her dmg orb, but change it.
Make the orb not have the whole tendril attach on effect, and instead make it more of a real ping ball of sorts. Rewarding to hit off surfaces and if they go through a player apply a DOT to them, up to 30-50 dps?, though if hitting someone dead on, gets an additional 15 dps for that hit. So at least it’d feel rewarding when you do hit people. Definitely tone down the hitbox though so it’s more of a skill shot then spam.
Most would agree we wanted utility added to moira but not at the cost of breaking her kit and what made moira moira. Thats like throwing a supercharger on your car but taken the wheels off to make it fair its just stupid.
As a moira main ive moved on if i wanted to be a heal bot id have picked mercy if i wanted a lesser value sleep dart anti nade why wldnt i pick ana instead?
The moira whatever you wanna call it nerf buff only shows how little direction blizz has with this game and how out of touch with their player base they are.
Sounds like dps mad that some moiras can do 19k + damage with 20k + healing while the rest of the team is asking what are the dps doin
