According to a Dev post earlier today, that moment might happen sooner than later:
All we can do is be patient and wait until such a day comes.

As someone who likes playing Ana who has no quick way back from spawn to start healing my team again seeing a Symmetra teleporter in our spawn room makes me want to cry tears of joy.

That Blizz post makes it sound like they might rebuild much of Symm from the ground up and we might not see the changes until this summer.
That’s OK. I’d rather get quick fixes now such as an energy ball that travels much faster, but that might distract from the fundamental changes that she really needs.
