I know a majority of us have had enough of the low skill, high reward combo like Grav Dragon and this nerf will give the team on the receiving end more of a fighting chance of avoiding it completely. I know in a couple of my games, we have managed to avoid it more easily and still win team fights. Not always, but more frequently we can avoid it without spreading out in such a way that leaves us in vulnerable positions that can get punished by everyone on the other team individually.
