I am stoked for the new Character release.
I am always happy for new MAPS and NEW MODES.
I do not like the politics behind ANYTHING.
Treat everyone as an equal no matter what.

As a black person, I’m disgusted they turned her into the stereotypical token black character. It’s offensive

So do you believe my bs now?
It’s weird, Overwatch has to have the most diverse cast in terms of race, gender and sexuality. Does anyone have idea how rare it is for a video game to have only 15% of the playable characters be straight white males? With the obvious exception being the many Japanese games set in Japan though that’s rarely an example of a diverse cast.
To have any gay character at all in a first person shooter and also avoiding the typical LGBT stereotypes in something else.
Overwatch is so close to inclusio…
when compared to the other video game companies that are taking leaps and bounds ahead of overwatch, they are lacking and deserve to be called out on it, especially when their central message is diversity.
apex legends for example has the proper pride flag (named pride), has multiple lgbt characters who are named from the beginning.
valorant has multiple pride flags, labeled as such.
and on top of that overwatch didn’t even mention that icon was added to the game. Lgbt people deserve to call…
I forgot to mention, but it seems that Valorant is releasing banners with the different lgbt+ flags, and teamfight tactics is releasing rainbow stickers. One of them has 2 female characters(Leona and Diana).
(and Riot is a company 100% own by tencent)
Apex’s writing is not without big flaws(especially when it comes to their female characters), but their commitment to diversity is a good example to be followed. Their writing also greatly benefits from teasing plots and actually doing something…
And because they don’t want more diversity in the game about diverse characters.
signs this
It’s the same with me. I have friends which are gay, lesbian and one who identified as pansexual (though she was struggling with her own gender last time I talked to her). Though one of them is extremely motivated in making a change - for women, for diversity, the other people are like “Jeez, this is ridiculous. Just treat us like human beings.” Maybe it’s the age, further experiences. Maybe it’s a different culture from where I live. I don’t know and I probably never will.

Mhm, totally, you totally know where i’m coming from! I’m just too narrow minded on this, I could never have ever been on the other side of this issue before I did research or critical thinking or anything!
It literally is lol
These are the exact same talking points.
Nah you just didn’t get the entire context.
yea it was a dissapointment. its also inherintly racist to talk about her race all the time. i just care we are all human okay. plz dont politicize overwatch its already ruined with 5v5. please bring back 6v6 so i can play again
