Just got a 2 week ban and the email doesn’t even say anything about what the reason is.
How am I supposed to know what I done wrong?
Put in a ticket or contact support on twitter and you might get a generic reason like communication abuse, or greifing.
That is your only option really. You wont get any answers from support on the forum anymore.
Blizzard are trying there best to kill the game ever since Microsoft bought them.

You’ve never been toxic.
You don’t chat.
You’ve never cheated.
You never used pings
You’ve never afk’d
You’ve never left a game
You’ve never done anything that could ever warrant a ban/silence/suspension?
Though technically I assume you mean a 2-week silence.

They never reply to tickets about bans from what I heard so there really isn’t any point asking.

Well then if you are unsure if you not done any of that, then I’d suspect that one of them is the reason.
You never did answer if it was an actual ban or a silence, I just assume silence, you can still play or were you actually banned from playing?
IM going to have to side with PandorisBox here, that players are finally being reported for flatout doing something that angers other players.
The one thing people don’t really think about is just how much they are annoying or bothering someone to the point that they are going to get reported regardless.
Since players are NOT allowed to leave a match period. More people are going to use the report system because they are forced to tolerate bad player behavior.

and even attacking the single same player OVER and OVER again can lead to this as well.
One side says “well put up with it”. Well, if it causes a person to become enraged and unhinged because of someone’s activity than that is the result that one creates.
im not saying the policies are RIGHT or WRONG. But with Blizzard having a Riot Squad for every match now. Thats whats going to happen.
And yes, I agree eventually they will ban ALL of us from the game and their final report will be something along the lines of “we banned gamers because they are being gamers”. So nobody is left playing the game.

Oh no, I am banned. I dont even remember when I got a silence on my account though.
The most common cause of chat bans is toxic texts / speech. The key phrases that get auto-flagged by DM include EZ, DIFF, TRASH, sexist / racist texts, profanity, etc. These bans are automated, so the only time any human might get involved is if a ticket is submitted to review the chat logs. However, temp bans are never reversed. Only perma-bans are reversible but unlikely unless the player is an active streamer.
Everything is reportable nowadays.
If there’s a 4 stack and they don’t like your skin they can report you.
People even get mad and report if you stomped the enemy team and say ‘GG’ at the end of the game.
I’ve never gotten a ban (knock on wood), I stay pretty quiet, but I get worried when I have a bad day and don’t play as well as I can and then worry that I’ll get reported for throwing or something.
I like that there’s rules in the game (as there should be) but I do wish that there wasn’t just a robot on the other end dishing out justice, whether it be deserving or not, and I wish there was so me sort of proof that could be shown if a ban was given and not just “You did something that wasn’t good. Banned.”
Well, if you are banned, then yikes I know that can’t be a good feeling.
My silence in OW1 was not a good feeling so can’t imagine what an actual ban would be like.
Their latest ban changes are bugged. Thousands of players have been perma banned the whole season for no reason
Doesn’t matter how many report a player – only the first one is counted per game while the rest are ignored.
There was a bug a while back that silenced my account … could not chat with anyone, so I thought I was chat banned. However, a few games later, the issue went away, and I never received any e-mail stating any ban was applied.
Do you have a source on that ? That seems weird, as one bad apple could just report anyone he doesn’t like
Unfortunately no, but many of my online friends also experienced being chat silenced temporarily. It was several months ago in Season8 when it happened. I did not report it since the issue went away in less than a day.
