Well, I think Mercy and Genji is a confirmed ship at this point.

It is and isnt, they beat around the bush with it, but from a gameplay standpoint especially it makes no sense since Genji was designed to counter Mercy, why would blizzard design Mercys “lover” to cut her in two with a sword or throw shurikens into her brain? We shall see what they do in OW2, but I doubt it will go anywhere beyond platonic as the rest of the OW cast. Not to mention, Mercy is waifu bait anyway, why would Blizzard throw that kind of business potential away?
I would really love it if the backstory of the suit was 100% her flexing, and it had nothing to do with the suits ability to help her help others.
