Team Comp Ban Problem

My normal teammate has been banned before the games ever start now a few times. this past week, we logged on to play and he’s banned for 16 minutes (odd time limit but, probably from a longer time frame DC from this same problem)
we wait. we play two games. we switch to apex for the entire day, and come back to OW in the morning. he has a fresh 30 minute ban. how does this work? no hes not lying. close enough friends that we share accounts. we can see when each other logs on (we only play these two games if the other is on because solo queuing sucks)

what could be causing this auto ban and it isnt happening on mine.

The offender gets an email detailing exactly why they were banned/suspended.

I’m on PS4 and I’ll say I’ve been banned before and have never received an email. it’s been a long long time but still no email. I can have him check though

Competitive ban right? Not an account suspension, correct?

He didn’t receive any email either. I’m not sure what’s going on with it. it’s only a problem because I actually wanted to play. but its over now thanks for your help
right. I know that’s normally for leaving matches. because I have gotten the 10 minute one before
