well im sure the hightr you get the less mistakes there are , the less blame there is to go around, but in silver there are a lot more bad bad dps than tanks or suppert
Well when the Tanks have gold damage and elims it’s a problem. Mostly because DPS is getting countered or they’re in bad positioning.
If it’s like a game i earlier where an ashe was:
Sniped by widow
Sniped by hanzo
Doom punched
Doom ulted
Dragons ulted
And then both I and the other healer get dove by the tanks.
Then swaps sym and says the healers are throwing…

Not true. You can legitimately have tanks get gold damage and elims and have good dps too.

That’s conformation bias.
The lower ranks often are plagued with the mindset that DPS are the reason they lose, but in reality there are many bad tank and support players, not just DPS.
In the higher ranks most people have gotten to the point where they realize that DPS aren’t the only ones to blame for a bad match, there is always plenty of blame to go around to everyone.
my problem with tank and support players is this:
Tank: can we get a McCree to stun Death Blossom?
DPS: Sure. Can we get a Zenyatta for discord and barrier break? And an Orisa for halt combos.
Tank & Support: nope rein is the only tank i play and i only play lucio when i play support

if you have gold dmg as tank your dps are bad. assuming your not a terible tank.
sure the charge in alone rein is a meme at this point, but what i’m about is for tanks and supports people think they’re doing well enough if they’re not dying
a dps needs to show up in the killfeed too
your team gets wiped because the tank was a little bit out of position or didn’t wait for the second healer coming from respawn?
people will still blame the dps not killing 3 people on the enemy team
and i play all 3 roles, you get away with being bad so much easier on both, support and tank, and even when doing reasonably well on dps people shout at you

i find the opposite true, i main tank, then support, my fkuxups as dps go largel un- noticed.

i cant be mad at a mercy player. they are the only ones who heal.
moira on support, aim for 1000 per min. get about 700 + 400 dmg.
Tanks and supports can’t always kill the enemies as quickly or as effectively as the DPS can. If we go 2-3 team fights without even killing a single enemy, support or otherwise, then we got some serious problems to talk about. And it’s not the tank or supports fault for that.
This is more common than, say, the tanks or supports dying because they were supposedly “out of position”
It’s been this way for over a decade with MMOs.

I would say that mistakes as support go unnoticed to most, though I might be biased since as a former tank main, I can see their problems easier.
As for the DPS blame, that’s just community bias is most cases even if you get a team kill.

As a low rank DPS your most important job is to not die before a team fight. I’m not talking about the odd unlucky boop or getting sniped and such. These things happen. What I’m talking about is mad flanks, yoloing into the entire enemy team and taking super “stealthy” positions before a fight.
That is all I ask as a tank or support. At least make it to the team fight, that’s enough for me.
It is most likely that all roles contribute to the problem.
So are you saying that it is more common for DPS to be at fault than tanks or supports? If so, I will have to disagree since I have seen tanks and supports out of position a lot

Both DPS are flanking the enemy team to use their ults. Supports die in the meantime because the DPS are nowhere to be found.
Are the supports out of position?
You didn’t mention any of this previously.
Even so, what were the tanks doing in this mess?
I’m a support main & I made a post about this a few days ago. I can say from experience that I’ve lost because of bad teammates of every role.
