you’re the joke, there’s no reason to insult you little peanut brain
If you are on the same situation as that orisa where you know there’s a whole team waiting for you cause you want to reach the payload before it gets to the point you pop up a defensive ability before going on their LoS. Charging against 4 enemies as rein is suicidal.
I repeat to you cause i see that you don’t understand. The role obviously has some problems but is not as misserable as most tank players claim, the reason behind that is because they want to stupidly blind walk towards the enemy team and win. They want to be immortal killing machines and that’s not how tanks work.
keep charging against a 1v5, keep playing winston against a bastion and zen team, keep playing as a dva without matrix, but don’t say that tanking is misserable because you want to be immortal.
Add another tank. Done.
I played a stealth game today and it made me better at “tanking” here
Im not playing into bad matchups and i still get shredded, the only time i don’t get destroyed is if the enemy is incompetent. And if I have to hide behind cover as much as my squishy teammates, which i do, then what’s the point of the tank
This. OP is talking about how tanks just want to be immortal - no, we just don’t want to die instantly the moment we don’t have limited defense up and aren’t hiding behind a wall.
There’s a wide gap between “instant death” and “immortal”- surely we can meet in the middle.
Things like this:
This is LHCloudy. Guys been rank 1 rein numerous times on the EU.
Sit and go “well nap had a wall!” Or things like they all you like- it doesn’t matter. This kind of stuff demonstrates what’s wrong with tank right now. He was pushing forward to make space, team behind him- the MOMENT his shield goes down, instantly dead. This is a hero with a massive health pool where nearly half of it is 30% reducing armor. Instantly dead.
Guy got straight up banished to the shadow realm.
There was no chance to react to baps ultimate, or anything else. Shield down- deleted.
No one wants to see rein or any tank be “immortal”. We just want to see tanks that can live for more than a few frames.
Yup. Everyone is just too dumb to figure the seven year old game out and it’s definitely not that the patch is trash.
Oh yeah dude like how all those widow players ( at the height of widow’s power) were coming up with this unheard of concept When fighting against her called “using cover” You know i tried it against a widow b4, for some reason the widow she didn’t just fall over and die like how i thought they were given how the widow players hyped it up, and can you believe the darnest thing, My team lost because we never left cover cuz if we did we’d get domed.
In all Honesty when someone makes a post saying “Need to learn X” I don’t take whatever the person is saying seriously. this game has been around for years and you aren’t going to come up with this brand new concept that has never been done before and It’s not going to be the solution you think it is, people who think that need to get off their high horse
I meeeeeean pretty much yeah : )
This is just not true and a lie
You’re not supposed to react to it. You’re supposed to predict it. That’s how the best players are able to handle complicated, high-speed situations. They stop relying on their slow reaction and start predicting where the enemy is and what the enemy is going to do.
That just goes to show a massive skill issue. Strategizing against an opponent’s defense and focusing the primary threat down is a military tactic used for literally thousands of years.
Of course I know what you want to say. Do you think tanks should do a better job of hiding in cover to avoid damage. But I’m sorry, as a tank is a melee hero, it is inevitable to be beaten by long-range heroes. What’s more, the tank often needs to occupy target points or push cars. He can’t hide all the time, so your battle line will be constantly suppressed by the opponent.
Unfortunately, the tanky version suffers from larger attack rolls, 80% more healing, and Zen’s 125% increased damage. What’s worse is that the tank in your solo queue will always be selected by the enemy’s multi-player team to restrain the hero to counter.
In this case, I can only advise tank players in solo queue to leave Overwatch.
Well No the point of that whole thing is that you can’t take down the threat without leaving cover, and when you do you’ll get sniped by the widow, if you got a sniper Forcing you to hide behind Cover unable to move that means you got pinned down by the sniper, not a win
lol I’m a GM tank and the tanks in these clips are top 500. These people know how to play the game and don’t need advice from your gold sass. You don’t “predict” that you’re going to be discorded and use defensive abilities that is so stupid. Every high rank tank knows they’re going to be discorded 24/7 so by your logic every tank should use every defensive ability the second they approach a team.
Tanks dying in .01 seconds is NOT BALANCED in any way shape or form regardless of the situation, and anyone that thinks it is, is an immature child that hates tanks because they die to them often. Grow up. Some people want every role to be equally balanced so we can all have fun, and frankly, if tanks remain the way you want them to exploding in fractions of seconds, it just makes the game worse for everybody. Every role in overwatch depends on another role to enable them. You limit the tank role’s ability to provide value, it limits your dps and support ability to provide value.
you still don’t understand my little gatito
what i’m saying is that you play around defensive abilities and very temporal cover to surive. You as a tank won’t be poking. The number of times i’ve seen a lot of tanks just staying infront of damage without using abilities or trying to avoid the damage because on their minds they have to survive purely by heals and nothing more.
i do. reinhardt and dva are my principal tanks. Sometimes i use any other tank depending on the situation
Personally, I think all heroes should have potential for 1shots or being focus fired so much they explode. The thing is the amount of resources and time leading up to everything. Most everyone focusing tank? You SHOULD explode.
This point sucks terribly for Reinhardt. You get fully spammed out on point with only a twig of a wall to slow up and recovery for a few seconds. This is precisely why Reinhardt has usually been used on much narrower and shorter sightline maps like King’s Row.
The dude fully pressed W blocking all damage behind his team up the point shield broke, then ate at least a baptiste sojourn headshot by the looks of it. That’s 390 dmg. Stuff’s going to happen. Even worse he had only a Moira healing him with a shield he just walked behind. A lucio in speed boost.
Blowing up is going to happen from time to time, but its even worse when you take a tank known for being unable to cover long distances and slowly walk up to the enemy on flat terrain going into a charge.
You are going to explode for doing something foolish on this point.
Just saying if you only played around defensive abilities and cover youd be sat behind a wall 75% of the game. Tanks litterally get punished for making plays and doing their job nowadays
thats not true, you don’t need to be behind a wall to use shields, matrix, spear spin, black hole, self heal, etc
