Because they’re just balancing around OWL and what makes OWL the most appealing to watch.
People have been complaining a lot about watching GOATS in OWL, so they’re trying to get rid of GOATS to help with viewership. GOATS is a meta 99% of players don’t use or play as effectively as OWL teams. But that doesn’t matter.
Rein needs some kind of protection when he charges. Maybe a buff or Zarya like bubble that activates when he charges. That way if he misses, he’s not a sitting duck.
Look. I get that Rein and Zarya have low pickrates. But pickrates are about how good people think a hero is, not how good they actually are. That’s why I favor looking at winrates.
It’s going to continue evolving. Moira put pressure against Dive heroes, Brig pretty much sealed it. With flankers hard countered, Genji and Tracer gave way to Hanzo and Widowmaker since they work outside of Moira and Brigs range. Which then gave way to more off Tanks who are the only ones that have a chance of surviving a headshot. Which led to more Doomfist who can one shot the supports behind the tanks.
Right now, the nerf to goats at the higher ranks led to most of the tanks becoming pingpong balls outside of pro level. With the top tanks gone, the bottom two are now technically the best tanks, which meant more bunker gameplays. Depending on how prevalent anti-dive supports are going to be, dive is going to make a comeback.
