… this feels like a non-sequitur? Because my point is that Blizzard decided, 2 months into the game’s life, that No Limits is not what they’re determining game balance around. They’re going to balance around hero limits.
Then they later decided it should be balanced around hero limits and role queue, as role queue made certain you’d have the ideal compilation - by their determination at the time - rather than multiple tanks, multiple dps, etc. and that people not comfortable in a role wouldn’t have to risk having to play that role.
They’ve created the control group to balance around, outside of the control is where they introduce outliers that effect the match flow. And they do sometimes adjust those outliers in the match settings, like Ana’s dart in TM. But asking for blanket balancing based on the outlier modes instead of the control is asinine.
There is zero reason that Tanks need to be as strong as they are as they only compete with each other, just nerf them and there is no change to RQ.
You have no idea how balance and hero interactions work in this game so…

I get that it might be OP in that game mode, but it’s a meme game mode. I don’t think Blizzard or fans really want Blizzard to commit the amount of time and developer resources it would take to balance something like open que (something so unballancable, Blizz had to change the whole game because of it) when they could focus their resources into the primary game modes.
At this point RQ is an excuse to not balance their game.
Go someplace else if you’re just going to throw out insults instead of an actual discussion.
I know throwing out insults makes you feel like a big strong man, but it just shows mental weakness, the fact that you think it makes you feel big speaks to your mental development.
No, but it is the main mode in this game.
Would be weird to ruin the main game for the sake of Custom Game balance.
They have effectively ruined every single game mode in this entire game if its not RQ. Its not an improvement.
Everything that is role queue comp and role queue QP isn’t a custom game. There’s like 20 different modes in the game that are all supposed to be very enjoyable and playable. Some of them are more silly like total mayhem, but others are very normal like the game mode playlists in arcade (push-only, assault, etc) or CTF. These modes are literally designed to be the normal gameplay experience but aren’t due to the lack of role queue or tank stacking limits.

Basically nothing hard counters Zarya in Mayhem. You can kind of counter with Rein or Doom, but that is a soft counter at best, games are long and drawn out and boring because she has infinite bubbles. You can’t killer her. You can’t hack her fast enough between bubbles. That mode is trash until they do something about that.
And they absolutely can do something about it, they have nerfed individual characters in that mode before. Ana’s sleep used to be able to endlessly sleep someone, they upped the cooldown on that massively so it’s not possible anymore. Why can’t they do the same thing for other non role queue modes?

Well actually we got dmg by verious other enemies and reaper just suddenly popped right i the middle and ult us to death

You can’t even make an argument, your argument is the equivalent of any great “debater” who ignores the fact they’re asking for something unreasonable and illogical and instead focuses on asking for what they want.
You want tank nerfs - only two of the tanks are over performing: Zarya and DVa. Three tanks are strong and might need to be brought into line after their nerfs: Winston, Sigma, Orisa. One tank is middle ground: Reinhardt. Two tanks need some buffing: Roadhog and Junker Queen. Two tanks need help: Doomfist and Wrecking Ball.
You’re asking for a nerf when Doomfists already have to work twice as hard as any other tank to make the same amount of space, when Wrecking Ball barely gets played and even when being played he’s in the same position as Doomfist. With Hog and Queen both being very selfish tanks who need some adjusting to focus them in on a team oriented comp more.
But you want to broad strokes nerf the roster because tanks are performing in modes that aren’t meant to be balanced at all and are meant to be played with dumb power scaling.
Play more than just Arcade before you ask for balancing to be done.
The game is “balanced” for RQ and that not even balanced right now. I’d hate for the real game mode to get even less balancing because they wasted time and resources balancing things like OQ and arcade modes separately.
There is nothing illogical in asking for tank nerfs.
Just let the tanks be i mean dps has awesome heroes like torb, sombra, sym, widowmaker, junk rat, reaper, soljourn, parah and ashe.
And some other dps heroes. Im pretty sure you can make a strat with some i mentioned and add some supp for help and tank for tanking and distraction
all it takes is time, place, strat and a lil bit of luck
