That is ultimately what a tank is meant to do. They absorb the damage and CC for their team. Its a good thing we moved to a 1:2:2 ratio of players because there are many players who simply cannot cope with that abuse.
The amount of stuff in the game is dramatically less than what it used to be, but people are still complaining that the role with the best survivability of any class (highest hp pool, best dmg red options, highest self sustain, and biggest receivers of healing) is still apparently too taking too much CC.
In the end, these people are simply not fit to be tank players. Certain things remain that need addressing to mitigate their impact. Bionade being 100% heals blocked is probably the last large remaining issue to me.
We have already lessened knockbacks on tanks. Stuns are universally removed. The duration of most CC’s are gutted. Discord as a 100% perm uptime is possible to mitigate now with play around a wall or payload.
