Talon Did Nothing Wrong: A Explicative On How Talon Saves the World from Overwatch's Stupidity

When governments do it, it is called conscription, when private organisations do it somehow it becomes Kidnapping.

this post is in jest not to be taken seriously

Adding to this discussion there is one big hole in whole logic of argument.

We don’t know a thing about state of world after Fall of Overwatch. 20 years passed since Omnic Crisis. We dont know how much of world is still destroyed, we dont know how much omnics there are. What is Human:Robot ratio? What are law, social, economic consequences of implementing Omnics.

For all we know there might be around 1 billion omnics that survived. And without Omniums around they dont have any means of reproduction. Humanity after war might droped to several billions. But in 20 years this might be non issue anymore. Omnics might be minority across world. And they might not be as advanced as we think they are. In media they are portraited as people made of metal. Not some superpowered beings. At least “Zenyatta” models that seems most popular. OR series and Bastions seems like rarity.

According to Brig, Rein owes nothing to Overwatch. They threw him under the bus.

Exactly! Down With OverWatch! RISE OF TALON

But that is only Brig’s POV. She probably would be upset if Torb went back to Overwatch.

Her papa choosing to build weapons again. Brig dedicating her life to build defensive tools.

A lot of conflict inside Brigitte.

Sylvanas was right to burn night elves tree. Because of Saurfang failure she had no way to keep it as hostage, cause Malfurion would simply overtake it with he OP-druid powers.

So it gottta burn.

Brainwashing Jaina brother was genius strategic move. But coward traitor Baine ruined easy-win yet again.

Just if allies could stop messing with her plans for a moment - alliance would be history already

I haven’t watched all the cinematics for WoW, but Sylvanas justified her actions too.

Well of course my friend. Rein feels indebted to overwatch due to his allies death due to his own arrogance. Brig can see the truth, overwatch threw away their men, and doomed them to be the scape goat

That’s a lot of due due on Reinhardt’s shoulders. Brig sees another side.

Imagine if Reinhardt dies on a future mission, and Brig blames Overwatch. Eventually, she joins Talon to seek revenge for killing her godfather.

That’s like saying everyone is their own hero.
Make sense, but pointless.
The definition of “hero” should cease to exist in that case.

appreciate the effort you put into this post, but i think the only valid point you have is the “ends justify the means” part about reaper.

After that there are a lot of reaches - the kind of thing you see students do when they HAVE to write an essay with a proposition they actually disagree with (or, you know, having to debate in class and take the side of something everybody knows isn’t true).

Wow
The voice of talon speaking on forum?
Somebody call Winston!

Good theory.

It’s sad that people have to go this far to make anything meaningful out of scraps and drops of info that Blizzard calls Overwatch lore.

Overwatch has always been the dear pet of governments ( both corrupted and clean ones ) and they were recruiting people with the classic line of " become a hero ".

Talon also does whatever fits their agenda and in also equally shady ways like governments do.

Viskar is the same kind but fail to hide their shady practices along the way.

Grey characters like Sombra and Moira are the ones I prefer, personally.

Overwatch however, is the organization I can’t like at the slightest. It’s like they took agents’ good hearts and will to help people just to manipulate them into soldiers to do whatever governments told them to. Would you look at them now, they are " criminals ". People like Reinhardt deserved better and the " yes people " like Morrison and Amari deserved the grave.

Thats when they rework her into an off tank rather than a support

Technology evolves at a pace far faster than biology. The evolution of humankind thus must be sped up accordingly if humankind wishes to survive.

Solutions cannot be made without problems. Overwatch cannot exist without Talon. Talon creates problems, Overwatch reacts with solutions, and slowly both sides are at least reaching one conclusion -that the world and its laws are backwards and insufficient to protect people. The more experience the world gains in dealing with these various unique technological battles, the better chance the world has of surviving without omnics eventually taking over. These are objectively artificial intelligences capable of killing everyone through unlimited replication and insurmountable abilities. Humanity cannot afford to evolve slowly and Talon is speeding things up as needed to address the quick evolution of tech.

Doing the right thing isn’t easy. Overwatch protects people and omnics who can’t defend themselves. Overwatch saves lives. Its not always easy playing by the book but sometimes you have to sometimes you don’t but there is no justice in talons ways like stealing from innocent people and destroying homes not to mention the deaths that follow. The world doesn’t just evolve through conflict it also evolves when we RISE together and fight challenges as one. We are stronger together than divided and Overwatch is here to show that the world could always use more heroes.

Overwatch making mistakes =/= An organization whose goal is to literally create a war under the flimsy justification of “evolving”

Also, let’s not gloss over the fact that most of the mistakes that turned the public against Overwatch in the first place were perpetrated by people who now lead Talon.

Nobody is good or bad. Everyone is grey. They just use term “heroes” because it sells. That’s it.

Technically speaking, there are still lighter and darker shades of gray.
