technically no because infinite tp cd mechanic will have its cd delayed by how long it takes for you to interact with it then destroy it.
but there’s also another big difference in that even if you simply used old 3.0 tp for quick trips because you get the rest of the 10s uptime for free i.e. options to re-use it remain open unlike with current tp where you have to make a hard binary decision.
In this play, I was intending to use tp to get close to the other sym. I had no idea about the reaper until after I dealt with the sym.
with current tp cd mechanics:
- if I destroyed it as soon as I got a better angle for the sym duel, I’d have to back out and run away from the reaper entirely since tp will be on cd
- if I waited until after dealing with reaper to destroy tp, I’d have to wait out the long cd after hiding out somewhere unlike in the clip where I was done with a tp cast available
In either case, I lose out with infinite tp cd mechanic compared to the old one, i.e. it’s not the same.
