yeah I hate tp on cooldown. At this point I dont really care what they do, I just want her to be good. I’d rather keep turrets, I like them thematically, but whatever it takes
They’re also an extension of her range (you know how people are always asking for them to lengthen her beam)
Remove the slow from turrets and make them do some respectable damage. They are extremely short range, the slow is pointless. They are a danger to nobody.
So, lower cooldown, actual damage, dont need slow.
They do need the slow because their damage is sustained. Removing the slow makes it extremely easy for a bunch of heroes to never get hit by them for any meaningful amount of time.
The truth is, sentries just need a revert to OW1. Their damage AND slow are both important to the ability, they were nerfed for no good reason.
The slow does nothing, it would if the range were longer and the turrets could take a hit, but as they are now, the slow is pointless.
Not everything needs added CC.

I don’t know about the last part…I’m always hesitant to make the abilities that function on their own stronger…they still serve a purpose and like you said they aren’t THE problem with her (hell I still die to them quite often)
No, I dont. I mean their damage and slow numbers before being butchered in OW2.
But I do think they should be instant to deploy on surfaces close to Sym. No travel or arming time when aimed at surfaces within 12-15m of Sym.
I have never said I want them to be stronger on their own. But the slow and damage were important to balance their plethora of weaknesses.
Disposable distractions are meant to be threatening enough to BE distractions in the first place. The dumpstering of their damage AND slow has served to make them too easy to ignore.
Its specifically their lack of range what needs the slow to keep people in its range for longer.
Disco, I have gained a lot of respect for Junkrat mains in the last year or so.
But dont pretend you know more about Sym than me. I have been mostly deferential to Junkrat mains in Junkrat matters, and I expect the same treatment back.
I agree! But Sentries wouldnt be getting ‘‘added’’ CC. They should get back the slow that was almost removed from them in the first place.

A half a second of barely noticeable slow is pointless. I would prefer the turrets just straight up do damage rather than be half and half. Wholeass something.

A middle ground perhaps…but like I said I’m hesitant with automatic abilities…I was pretty happy that they tried to shift power away from the game’s turrets (Sym and torb)
Thats what my idea is. instead of direct turret damage buffs ahve them do damage AND buff gun damage
Gimmicky stuff like that doesnt really work in practice, just like trying to turret bomb with TP. Sounds good on paper, but is garbage when actually implemented in a match.

Me doing the TP strat to throw turrets on an Ashe on highground and she just pops them with 1 mele is depressing.

I was trolling about the pfp, it’s a thing ppl used to take seriously on forums
doesn’t dismiss my other points though, weaker turrets isn’t a useful idea, they already die in 1 mele and the slow is very useful, it also adds a risk reward of doing the TP turret strat where you lose the advantage of having slow turrets spread around the objective
her right click already does enough damage so a little boost isnt worth losing slow
a better buff for 3 turrets would be 50 hp
maybe her photon barrier back too, the little projectile shield so she can help out the tank and not just be spam gunned by bap/hitscan with a wacky laser/right click charge only kit
she needs one moment of variety/reprieve, something to outplay people with, not just TP and left/right click
Just give us back Sym 2.0 or even 1.0.
