So there have been several posts requesting a hero with a physical or mental disability, and the same heroes are always brought up as examples that are already in game. And when Symmetra is brought up as an example of a hero with a disability, they always talk about her being Autistic, nobody ever mentions that she’s missing her left arm.
EDIT: Yes, I know half the roster is disabled lol. I made this post because I only realized today that Sym has an artificial arm and I thought it funny that nobody ever mentioned that.
I never seen someone asking the hero with physical disability. I mean we have junk, sym, genji, ana… reaper to an extend. And you can’t really have disability like wheel chaire as prostetic are everywhere.
Of course you can. You can have someone who refuses prosthetics on principle. Someone who doesn’t trust machines for example, or someone who believes in the purity of the human body or something.
Symmetra has an arm. Read her comic. At the start, she wears her “Vishkar” skin (Check it in game: 2 arms), then she wears her classic skin and on the last page she has her Vishkar skin again. So it’s just a glove. However, McCree probably lost one of his arms and Torbjörn has either lost his arm, or upgraded his mechanical arm (A skin from his past, Ironclad, shows his hand is actually behind the grapple hand.
Torbjorn was badly injured during a mission and saved by reinhardt that s where he lost his arm. As far as i can remember correctly the info they gave during the uprising event.
This argument is stupid. And I’m pretty sure that like 95% of the people who posted “I play Symmetra because I’m disabled in some way or another, and now it’s not fair that my disabled hero doesn’t cater to my disability” were all troll posts.
What’s funny about this is that you idiots took those troll posts seriously.
Hurr durr I play Genji. Mana Mana. Mana mana. Mana mana. I need healing! Mana mana.
*Edit to add: I didn’t even read your post OP other than the name of the thread, sorry hahahaa I thought it was “another one of those” but I guess it’s not so this post is just ignore it. I’ll still keep it up though because it’s quality care. And I care. And I quality.
I would say her autism is the main reason she is so powerful, it’s not a disability to her at all. In her lore, nobody can wield the light construct powers the way she can, despite the tech being around. Symmetra is a great example of a character who overcame her mental differences from society and made it work for her in ways nobody else could fathom.
why do you have to go and be rude? Especially when every word of what you just said makes 0 sense.
Nobody was making an argument, I merely posted an observation relating to posts I had seen previously and something I noticed in game. Not an argument in sight
I have yet to see a post complaining about any character being or not being disabled.
The posts I did see asking for a disabled hero were definitely not trolls posts.
BEGONE THOT!
EDIT: I just saw your edit so you can ignore this too lolz
yeah I edited my post, sorry about that broski. I thought this was “another one of those” posts about the hero that’s playable for people with disabilities not being so anymore, but it’s not that so nvm. What’s a thot? If we’re making up new words, you bygone KOPA.
