I think she is fine too. But I would want her to be great. And all I’d like to see would be to add the old photon barrier to her kit. It just would add so much synergy without making her too strong.
It would make syms combat more dynamic and add a ton more creativity to her kit. Imagine all the new strats possible with tp.
You could make a temporary shield as the barrier loops through the tp. Or you could just protect allies as the go through tp. Protect your turrets it just adds a lot of new strategies
I just thing the old shield fits 3.0s kit more than it did for 2.0

Sym 3.0 is fine. People just cant forget 2.0. She could use some minor buffs to teleporter and primary but other than that, she is nearly perfect.
They loved 2.0 and I loved that kit too. But they shouldnt force a revert or rework on people that enjoy 3.0.

Yeah sym is fine. And people won’t forget a character that was removed. It’s as if you just couldn’t pick soldier anymore no way in hell is he gonna be forgotten
But that shield would be even spicier
Her current beam is only better than her old one when u have above 67% acc which is hard to have all the time for pros

The beam is supposed to be used on big targets such as tanks. Yeah it is possible to charge it on a baby dva or Mercy but it is way less optimal.
Yeah it’s just a switcheroo on what it use to be extremely effective against and what it can be used for now it just got a bit more niche
She was weak and needed buffs to her kit, but instead she went over a year without a single balance change until 3.0 came out.

Honestly I have great success with it, and I kinda like it. I love how I have to control over who I can attack. The old beam would sabotage me sometimes.
Yeah the old beam had perfect tracking once locked on but you had to get the right target initially. It just was more useful for more targets. It also worked against a lot of the tanks
Yet she still dies to tanks when she is that close and she is a dps, she shouldnt just go after tanks
Reaper is also a character that is played against beefy tanks such as Roadhog. He is still a DPS. He goes after tanks. Why cant Sym?

I’m not sure I agree photon barrier is a better ultimate but I do agree that it’s underrated and can completely turn the tide of a match by itself. The way it creates space for your team in unrivaled.
2.0 was the worst hero in the game. She had a niche but that niche was too easily countered. I loved 2.0 but 3.0 I love even more. Simply because of her flexibility. I think the core part of her kit is still there which is her strong area denial.
The talk about her winrate is absurd. It was incredibly high because she would immediately switch off first point defense. If 3.0 had that same win rate, she would be absolutely op

I mean sure Sym 2.0 had a lot of problems. Unfortunately Sym 3.0 has the same number of problems just a different kind.
So that doesn’t really say a lot. They fixed some things and but new issues are present now.

Her teleporter was nearly useless?!? It was a top tier ult and won me countless games
Actually they made one of her core issues worse. the massive amount of charge/build/setup time.
2.0 had one instant value reaction based ability her barrier allowing her to block Rein shatters.
3.0 has 0 instant value abilities.
Agreed. I personally think Sym 3.0 is worse than Sym 2.0 in a lot of ways. The only thing I like in 3.0 is her ability to throw turrets and the speed of her orbs, that’s just about it.
She now has to aim (which mind you is not a problem for me since I normally play hit-scan heroes and have played FPS since the existence of the genre) but she still has that silly charge up mechanic which makes her a sitting duck.
Her throw-able barrier was a really good ability that got taken away for no reason in my opinion. It was really good to close the distance against traditional mid or long range DPS. Her orbs no longer pierce and her turrets can really control chokes as good anymore. The slight damage increase really doesn’t cut it when they are now less in number and just as easy to kill. 6 turrets were disorienting, 3 are super easy to kill.
All in all, I liked Symmetra 2.0 much better. And shield generator / TP is a much better ultimate hands down, compared to her silly barrier ultimate now.

She just feels like a bore to play now i loved managing the space around me i just wish they had enhanced those piece let her stop her barriers flight, throwable turrets, sped up orbs, reduce turret damage buff their slow, take the damage from her turrets put it into the first two level of her beam making it 60-90-120.
