So I queued for competitive mode and decided to watch replay in the meantime. For some reason when the competitive game was found, the screen turned black and it just left me with an endless loop of overwatch logo loading. So after waiting for ~3 minutes, I decided to quit out of the Overwatch client and load up the game again.
Once I got back into the game, I was left with the 15 minutes suspension penalty even though I didn’t do anything wrong.
