I fell like the logic for mercy dosent work since it would be like saying ball doesn’t count because he has to hang on to something to use that mobility
After visiting forums, I’m always left confused how people view this game - with their own ifs and buts to suit their own agenda. And why even that, will never understand
If you think that, then you need to take Ashe and Sojourn off the list.
every support has vertical mobility
Khaby Lame gestures toward the stairs
Too many caveats here, support has only 2 heroes with vertical mobility only if you apply these very specific limitations
The caveats make this so silly. Mercy Superjump doesn’t count because it requires a teammate which you are not always guaranteed to have (but usually will). However, if that is our requirement Genji and Hanzo come off the list because you aren’t guaranteed a wall to climb. Yes there usually is one but that wasn’t enough for Mercy.
Verticality is not important for supports in OW. Speed, lateral mobility and utility are all things that are good for supports. Which we have for mostly everyone.
Baptiste can jump up and down but that won’t save him in a team fight. Or even be the deciding factor in a win.
Always forgetting about Genji dash…
And fine, if you insist on comparing walls to teammates… Remove Hanzo.
Still, you have 10 dps options to 1 support option (Lucio doesn’t count anymore).
Silly indeed.
You can gain all sorts of high grounds with Ashe. And the majority of high grounds with Sojourn.
You are only like the 23rd person to point this, IDK at this point what the goal of this “discussion” is to be honest. I dont think being super picky and restricting conditions to try to paint “unfairness” will lead to anything.
Say it louder for the people on the back.

Says the cheerleader.
I am not sure if you just missed the point or are being intentionally dense.
The point was to just keep taking things out in this contrived scenario that is nothing like OW in order to make the point more clear, but to point out that said contrived scenario is nothing like a real game of Overwatch and in a real game of Overwatch Mercy has vertical mobility at will. The only way for her to not is for there to be no teammates dead or alive around her which in a real game has only 2 explanations: she is using valk and therefore has the most vertical mobility in the game or everyone on her team is already dead and has respawned in which case she is staggering herself.
Basically the thing that is silly is that you created an imaginary ruleset and then decided to a conclusion that should apply to all of Overwatch based on your imaginary ruleset that you only created because you had a conclusion that you wanted to reach and you wanted to twist the data to say that very thing.

Hmmm so let’s see.
1v1 situations don’t exist in your universe.
Falling of a cliff don’t exist in your world.
Neither is coming back from spawn.
etc…

The actual thing that is silly is you wanting to force people to use your own ruleset.
Mercy is a pocket hero, not a conventional hero. It’s the only hero that is centered around dedicating the entire gameplay to another person.
Pockets are by definition some of the most mobile heroes because all they do is sticking to other heroes.
So my “rulesets” are actually based, but your obsession with what rulesets I choose is not.
You’re just a bunch of bad faith arguments
It’s pretty funny honestly, because I feel like you actually believe what you’re saying

Who? Me?
If this is about me, then I’m glad you find it funny.

Support power has nothing to do with vertical mobility. There is a reason why the top 4 have ana, zen, and brig on the list

Thanks for this precious info.

 Blovmag:inherent vertical mobility
You’re only using this terminology to pretend like only 2 supports have vertical mobility. Mercy is one of the most vertically mobile heroes in the game. Her being unable to do so when there are no teammates is irrelevant because Mercy only ever positions near teammates. In any real world scenario Mercy has vertical mobility. Loads of it.
Moira has vertical mobility in fade and can reach most high grounds with it.
There are actually 4/7 supports with reliable vertical mobility. So 57% of the roster in comparison to 64% for dps and 40% for tank.
Exo-Boots, Shield Bash jumping, Wall-Ride, Guardian Angel/Super Jump, Fade jump, and then Zen lol.
'Seems pretty alright, not sure quite what you mean here.

Yeah pretty sure, Sigmund Freud.

Right. You seem to have many hours on Moira.

Pretty much.
Thanks for comparing Monkey, D.Va, Doom and Ball’s vertical mobility to Lucio, Moira, Bap, and Mercy.

The other option is that you just have no idea what you’re talking about.
 Blovmag:
 Blovmag:Right.
Yeah. You should go learn how to utilise her fade.

Blovmag:Thanks for comparing Monkey, D.Va, Doom and Ball’s vertical mobility to Lucio, Moira, Bap, and Mercy.
Oh look I can be snarky too: Thanks for acting like Mercy should be in the same vertical mobility category as Zen and Ana. That is for sure a very serious opinion and not totally laughable to anybody who has played the game for more than 10 seconds.
On a more serious reply…Mercy is far more mobile in any direction than every single one of those heroes other than Ball.
