If a character requires aim, why make all their abilities require no aim. Is basically what I’m getting at with her and kiri. And then if you play this way - her mobility is pointless? You’d only ever use it if it’s already a wipe. Why not just have ranged healing and a climb like kiri. Because she’s not japanese I guess?
You do know you can make any heroes kit sound “bloated” right?
Hell pretty much every single hero except like Widowmaker has a kit that can fill out an entire page of text with what they can do
Widowmaker’s abilities dont require much aiming either. All heroes have relatively easy to use abilities.
I forgot that OW is actually chess and you will never see flankers flanking you.
Kiriko’s healing is very delayed and you are over exaggerating its effective range.
WM’s abilities gain her high ground and is an alert against flanks - they allow her to focus on her range.
I don’t think being a jerk is really called for here.
There’s supposed to be a comma before the and. I was not saying kiri has ranged healing.
You are saying what can be their effects.
But they are an autoaimed fast grapple hook and an AoE deployable.
How is this different than many other heroes? No hero has a Widow headshot for abilities.
Then stop cherrypicking irrelevant/impossible scenarios to pretend that your personal dislike of a hero means there is a larger systemic issue with it.
what the actual h*** does this mean.
Or you can not throw a fit about my opinions and have an actual discussion. Welcome to ignore.
Do you honestly believe that people who lack a high rank understanding of the game are able to effectively balance the game?
Support and dps should be on the same level and tbaks shoukd ve above bit they arnt support is over dps and tank is below dps its a mess
Except in lower ranks others were.
Yes.
It is like saying “can someone who can’t fly a plane, design the aircraft, and where the cargo should be?”
The answer is yes, yes they can and do.
Can a pilot design the aircraft, and where the cargo should be? Usually not.
Is it useful to get feedback from Pilots when designing the aircraft? Sure is.
Should the pilots design the aircraft? hell no.
The people who design the aircraft understand what is required for it to fly. You can’t balance a game without understanding what is required in the ranks they supposedly balance for. Which is why almost every balance patch is a complete miss. See: The latest support nerfs.
Yes, yes they do.
They are not balancing for your rank, they are balancing for overall health of the game.
You think the balance is wrong, BECAUSE you are not the target audience for that balance.
It is like a fighter pilot saying that the cargo capacity for a 747 is wrong for dogfighting.
I mean, they are correct, but it is also irrelevant. They are not designing the 747 for the fighter pilot.
We have in the overwatch community a lot of fighter pilots complaining that the 747 doesn’t handle well in dog fighting, and saying the designers are garbage because of that.
The company the designers are working for have asked to move cargo, in quantity, and their designs reflect that.
If you want it to handle dog fighting well, then you need to first understand that they are designing to move cargo, so your suggested changes have to let them at least continue to do so - or they will be ignored as irrelevant.
If bronze is the target audience, then they are balancing wrong lol. Bronze players have zero rights.
Just because they are not balancing for GM, doesn’t mean they are balancing for Bronze.
You’re right. They’re balancing for nobody at this point. Cooldown nerfs do nothing to fix the blatant problems in supports’ kits while making them even more annoying to play.
They are balancing for queue subscription.
I don’t have the link to hand anymore but the devs have outright said that they primarily balance for gm.
I remember them saying so, a long time ago.
It is pretty obvious that they are balancing for queue times now. At least the “between roles” balancing. Which makes sense from a “running a game company” point of view.
By making supports less fun?
It wasn’t that long ago. We’re talking a few months ago when a lead dev (Or Aaron? I don’t remember) said it while talking live to a streamer.
