I’m not even getting any of the skins, old and new, THAT’s how bad this event is for me. Boring, dissapointing, garbage RNG, no skins, emotes or highlights. Mostly been getting Player Icons and Voicelines. It’s like no event actually passed by.

I was disappointed by the lack of new content, I was hoping for everyone to get a voice line at the least(with Moira, Brig, and Hammond getting 3) but only a handful of characters got one

Lack of new unlocks aside, I like lucioball and perfer playing comp of that over reg comp. So this is one of my favorite events. Tho I wish they had added more stuff in the unlocks and maybe next year a different brawl like Wrecking Ball bowling or racing.

about Overwatch League, probably. That’s all they care about at this point.

Dude the legendary drop is ridiculously low for some reason. Every 11-13 lootboxes i’d get a legendary before but few days ago i literally opened 18-19 to get one and that is bs.

It is indeed a bit disappointing, but you gotta remember that World of Warcraft’s newest expansion was released at the same time, so I guess they needed to focus on that first hand. But there is no doubt that this was the weakest event we’ve ever had.
But how else can you explain how much you dislike the forum being “spammed” with a certain issue other than posting in every one explaining how you hate the spam?
Here’s the problem with that:
First of all, I actually did pay 60 dollars for this game, due to currency conversion.
If this was a f2p game, fair enough - in fact, many f2p games give us better content.
Since we paid for this game, we paid for quality, and we have not received quality. and yes, Blizzard are choosing to give us free content - and because they choose to, they need to make sure it’s up to scratch and not ignored in favour of the OWL.
I don’t give a flying (redacted) if you like it, but stop trying to shut down people who are unhappy. It’s literally standard knowledge that if you are a consumer and you are unhappy with your product, because what you paid for is low quality then you have every right to complain.
If you order food at a restaurant but it comes an hour late/it has hair in it/it’s uncooked, would you complain? If you order clothes online and they’re terrible quality, would you complain?
It’s been THREE YEARS and we have the same, rehashed, buggy mode, lackluster skins (by the way, Blizzard think it’s fun to spoil every single legendary before the event), nothing new for almost 50 percent of the hero roster and Blizz had the gall to remove all traces of the event from the home screen and battlenet launcher.
To finish, have some relevant takes because I am sick and tired of people telling me to be grateful when Blizzard have clearly stopped trying.

Archives '18 was an AMAZING event - new lore, new mode, awesome skins. If Blizzard pulled that off, what’s the Summer Games excuse?

Its because they need to make a lot of money from micro-transactions.
you have paid for the quality of the base game,not a single dollar for the free extras.
are you sure that you didn’t buy the bonus version by mistake? I live outside of the US but I have only paid ~42$ due to currency conversion

Yes, and Blizzard make lots of money from microtransactions also - lootboxes, OWL tokens and alternate accounts rake in a lot of money. They have the resources, but their priorities are out of whack.

Does that matter? If you buy the game, it’s year two - you’re telling me it’s been two years and we shouldn’t expect quality after the past events have been absolutely amazing? There’s no excuse for the decline, and we shouldn’t have to suck it up.
If they don’t want to give us quality then they should stop making events alltogether, because hey - if they want to be lazy then clearly they don’t want to right? Why not scrap events and skins and just focus on the Overwatch League?
it genuinely does not matter if we pay for events or not - if Blizzard choose to add content to the game, they need to at least make sure it’s decent. At the very least they could have the decency to fix the bugs, or buff Lucio. If they just did that, which are things they do anyway (bug fixing and balance changes), I would be happy - because Lucioball would be more fun, and more playable.

Crossed out are the regular prices - it’s cheaper right now due to the 50% sale.
Plus not everyone enjoys Lucio Ball, and neither like Blizzard disabling other modes in arcade only to push Lucio Ball to our throats.

Exactly - Lucioball is actually my least favourite event mode, even more so than Snowball Offensive, and I can say that a big part of my reasoning is that the bugs make it severely frustrating to play.
Like, so many times the ball physics have f----d up, and the ball either doesn’t go forward at a good speed (like a slug), it goes behind me or doesn’t move at all. It’ll say “save” and the enemy still scores, and the hitbox is atrocious.
Third time round and despite the bugs being well documented, Blizz did nothing.
What’s the point in an ult that makes you faster if you can’t hit the ball half the time?
Another event, another fiasco! Of course they won’t admit that. They will say it was a huge success.

I dunno, apparently Jeff thinks more than 5 mode slots would mess up queues, which is ridiculous.
They could at least do what they did in retribution, and add one panel that you click through to access normal and Copa Lucioball.
Of course - after all, almighty Blizz are never wrong!

Except that most technically ARE paying for those shiny new things that come every event and on occasion.
A lot of people put out a LOT of money to buy loot boxes, whether for the event or not. So saying we don’t deserve good things because we ‘complain’ about free items? That’s like saying you should be thankful for getting a crappy, tasteless meal when you paid for something that was supposed to be good.
Now, since they can’t just section out the people who DON’T pay for loot boxes, all the money people put out to buy loot boxes could literally cover most of the community in payment for DECENT content.
Cause, hey, microtransactions, right?
