Stop defending 5v5 samito is right!

why is it called “shooter” then?

who is Winston, Moira, Reinhardt, Brigitte, Doomfist, Sigma, Zenyatta

they’re not shooting, or not always

first-person “shooter” - this is exactly why OW is a trash game and playerbase is trash with it, because you guys will go out of your way to tunnel vision onto one theme, word, anything just to make your argument make sense, not to mention the length people’s Ego here takes flight just to assume it’s winning an argument for just a little bit longer…

not the point, tanks can tank damage and get consistant healing, in Apex you die if you’re trying to outheal enemy bullets, in Valorant you die or get oneshot to head if you try to actively outheal bullets, in CoD you die with stim in your chest or whatever, you die in shooter, you don’t die in OW,

oh no Soldier helix rocketed me, thank god I have Kiriko Suzuing, immortality field, the support used something to up healing, the Soldier reloaded when I was 20HP now I’m 120HP

Because you still using aim. It doesn’t have to be precise, but it is still a part of the game mechanic.
If you have any issue with melee weapons then look all over other fps games, which also have this mechanic additional to shooting guns.

Not all games are made the same. It’s like if I would be whining here that I can’t pull a legendary weapon out of a crate and erase the enemy team… OW decided to make the heal mechanic a part of the experience. And it always was. However, I never was a part of a match where literally nothing died.

I do agree with you though, if you’ve read any of my previous comments, Suzu or Lamp should not be a part of the game. Or at least they should be Ults that you build slowly and use cautiously. Probably same with Rez.

Pardon, please expand on the “if you ignore certain characters” part. That should have been a red flag when you typed that out.

I’ll just cut to the chase, there is no sense in dragging this out so I’ll be succinct.

FPS is an umbrella. Under which are different categories of fps, but they’re still fps games nevertheless. You seem to think a shooter is narrowly defined to what you wrote but you’re just describing a tactical shooter. This is not the case. You also have arena shooters (quake). You also have rpg shooters (deus ex), you have mil sim shooters. etc. Shooters are the means in which a game is functionally played by the player.

The kicker? under that umbrella are a set of games called…

Hero shooters

Hop on steam and look at what paladins and overwatch are labeled by the users.

I trust that should end this.

Looking kinda low budget graphics. Is this on PC or mobile ?.

Just saw the trailer on youtube.

Yeah it’s a mobile game, you shouldn’t play it. It only runs at 10 fps in 480p. You won’t like it.

:eyes:

uh huh,

of course, but you’re still wrong on shooters,

is Minecraft fps shooter?

is Subnautica fps shooter?

is Portal FPS shooter?

is Slime rancher fps shooter?

The Forest?

etc.?

no it’s not, Widowmaker bypasses the tanking bullets with body while being healed with her 200+ damage headshots…

wrong, not a tactical shooter, I describe traditional core design fps shooters

OW isn’t fps at it’s core, it’s Hero shooter, the abilities play major part in gameplay, in most fps shooters you can ignore abilities or get around using barely any assets/abilities

quake is fps shooter, it’s just in arena

yes, and Far Cry, and whatever else

yes, tags are meant to characterize the game, but not individually, if you address each tag individually you won’t find many games that fit it with just one tag, unless it’s a general term

and fps shooter is a general term, but OW is not a fps shooter, it’s hero shooter

because here, take it this way, remove first person perspective, add third person to OW,

what changes? nothing,

do the same with CS:GO, the game’s identity shatters, it’s gone,

if you do it to overwatch, nothing happens, why? because it’s Hero shooter for the most part, because 3rd person perspective wouldn’t break the game or it’s mechanics,

but actual fps shooters would completely get thrashed by that idea, so many mechanics would change with such a small change

I have a 4090 with 4k 42 wide screen. Game was looking like it was on a budget. I am going to play it anyways. Just was curious if anyone actually played it and how the graphics were.

If i did not care about Graphics, i would play Tarkov ?

Nah you wouldn’t like it. Don’t play it.

Hate how samito has all the same opinas me on the game and he gets labeled negative towards the community. Maybe 5v5 just sucks.

But NDA creators flats custa and freedo get to ride in porsche’s for ruining one of the best games this generation had.

Just wanted to add - content creators should not have any opinions on how an external company should design their game.

Eg : I watched Stylosa ? I think that is who it is. He said a very good point. He said in one of his videos that CC do not get invited to try new content while designing because they make suggestions which are geared towards them. It was on his YT page. I fully support this. 1% should not decide for the 99%.

Content creators are there to create content so they can earn a living.

Just like i should not be making comments on how the game should be - i can suggest. But i cannot tell I am right and it should be this way.

There made it easy for you to understand.

Also Samito looks much healthier now on his Youtube channel from the time I last remember him from a decade ago on his hanzo.

He should relax more and enjoy the game and not try to milk it. 175k viewers is a good progress on youtube subs but Jay3 has over 475k - see the difference here ?

why not?‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎

Because their main focus is to earn a living out of making content. So naturally they will want the game to be centered around their hero, their team and their gaming style.

This way making content will be more easier as they control the strategy. You already knew the answer.

you’d be a terrible content creator if you thought it’s this simple or easy

Sure.

So you tell me why Stylosa has said the game does not invite them to game design changes & look for their opinions ?

They are the 1% they should not have any voice in how the game should be.

what do you do for a living?

Non of your business.

it’s important for example,

what are your hobbies?

To be honest I think all companies should be open to feedback from their consumers so they can be reminded what the consumers want/need from them, but never to the extent that it completely changes what the company was made for in the first place. For example a water bottle company might get frequent requests to sell soda instead, but that’s not what they specialize in, so they probably wouldn’t do it. But if it were a request to change the shape or design of the water bottle, maybe. Of course I’m not taking into account branding and legal ramifications, but I hope it was an understandable example. All changes should be welcome so long as they don’t harm/detract from the quality of the product and shouldn’t be taken outside of the context of the product.

absolutely NOT. unkillable tanks is what killed ow1. making them all unkillable will KILL ow2

Nah, what killed overwatch 1 was boring metas and broken tank synergies
