I thought sombra went visible for a second or two while hacking?
What even? I can just turn around with my Rein shield and it stops it. I get hacked as Hammond, I can roll again after one second. How is it a problem? I’m tank, I’m supposed to be the most affected by it and I don’t care.

Yup. 3 things. With only 2 having any sort of value. Any other deployable can only be Hacked with EMP.
Snowball? EMP.
Photon Barrier? Also EMP.
Teleporter? You guessed it - EMP.
Hammond’s Mines? Surprise - EMP!
May I ask? How do you cancel Sombra’s EMP?

No other hero has this downside of a mechanic where their ability is completelt cutoff and forced on CD just because you got shot at.
I mean Torb’s turret redeployment is a longer cooldown when its shot than when you redeploy

Sombra’s hack also just lasts way too long, the cooldown on hack is 7 seconds and the duration of the hack is 8 seconds. It’s basically a discord orb on steriods.
You can also hack bob. The special thing about bob and hacking him is unlike hacking anything else, once bob is hacked bob will no longer shoot anything until he is dismissed, bypassing the original 8 second duration of hack. You can do this while invisible, making bob borderline useless. Other than holding a point/payload down bob will do nothing.
Hack basically counters almost everything in the game. There’s a few things here and there that you can’t shut down with hack; hack counters so much that it might as well counter everything.

I’m really happy I have time on sombra. Because it makes you more thoughtful on how to counter her. I’ve been just fine playing into sombra as a genji. I just spam secondary fire at all the places I’d be if I was sombra. And a lot of the time I get them too. And then her whole game is ruined. Good times.
oh my god no way you said that!?!?! How is discord that boost all damage by 25% worst than boosting virus to do damage faster for 7s? No shot hack is better than discord.
Discord technically lasts forever but can be shut down by losing line of sight rather quickly then it has a cooldown on that specific target. Hack can be done on an infinite loop, boosts damage and shuts down players ability to use abilities for the first 2-3 seconds of the hack. Health packs can also be shut down and the cooldown on health packs is boosted for the team only. Shutting down abilities for such duration makes many heroes unable to escape by most means, add the duration that lasts way too long and the damage boost then hack is indefinitely superior.
Discord only does a fraction of these functions. As the OP says hack can be used to also shut down turrets and many other abilities including ults. Sombra is a must have in high ranked games and can make noobs totally helpless in the right hands. Zenyatta while good in high ranks doesn’t even come close to Sombra’s superiority.
As some one like myself I consider myself to be a crappy DPS’er. I found Sombra to be a cakewalk to use. I don’t even have more than 10 hours on DPS in 1k+ hours total playtime (I played the closed beta).
If discord didn’t have a cooldown like it does now, I would agree a little more but still not 100%.

- Both abilities get wrecked and put on cooldown
- Both of these things happen because of getting shot at

Don’t you mean tracer and genji? Sombra could always just sneak past the turret, or disable it.
Nah I mean all three, as they’re all flankers. Torb turret worked pretty well against Sombra until the recent change where Sombra can hack it while invisible. Before the change, she at least had to decloak and destroy the turret before diving, which gave you advanced warning and wasted her time.
