State of Symmetra

I disagree. Her primary is the best example.
They mentioned that they decided to keep that mechanic because “it was always the thing for her” to trick enemies into letting you get close long enough. What they didn’t realize is that that was literally the only thing in her lock-on weapon that holded her back. Not her “no-aim” perk. And those who think that, I want to mention reinhardt, mercy, brigitte, moira and winston who don’t really need to aim that much either, all of them - at one point - viable or even meta.

1 turret every 10 seconds is a recipe for inconsistency. Also they didn’t need to buff turrets, they needed to move turret’s power to symmetra. Throwing turrets helps a little but it is not enough to fix the whole thing with turrets being too uncontrolable of an ability to be source of damage.

I already mentioned primary, so let me answer with secondary. I agree that faster speed and half the charge is much more consistent. But the real question is: is a slow 20m/s orb that is shot once every second and requires direct hits to deal respectable damage an consistent ability? While I agree that this orb can be used in more situations, old orb was used in limited situations, but always worked consistently in repositioning enemies with barrier.

Old teleporter was a bad design choice. I agree. But not because it was passive (protecting ult minigame is a passive thing? If so, then so is playing on defense 2cp maps, basically the same thing), but because it was situational, inconsistent thanks to respawn timer increasing mechanics, distance from spawn, and death encouragement.

Current version is rather very good conceptually but the execution sucks and hurts in consistency department on already what is an situational ability. TP was abused by railings when it was 9, decides to commit sudoku when payload pushes it away to the side, is hard to place in some places, can self-destruct next to some walls and is indecisive in placing in front of me or right under my feet when i want to place that perfect turret bomb.

Give a damage dealer a tank ult. Will give her easier time in team compositions, because when you have too many protective ults and not enough damaging ults it will totally shift fight in your favor. I’m not denying power of current barrier, but showing you problem with her fitting in team comp.

Now you have my attention. What do you mean?

Anyway, I’ve made my stance on Symmetra on several occassions, and made comprehensive analysis describing why current symmetra struggles with the same problems, and how to fix her. If you’re willing, consider reading it, and say what you think about my solutions to the problem.
