I feel like they don’t change the stats as much as a normal MOBA. They should at least be double of what they currently give.
I prefer them to be “safe” to reduce the snowball potential. The balance seems “just right” to me. Any less and the only upgrades worth anything would be the uniques. Any more and the game becomes about stat checking.

Don’t think it’s necessarily too safe. Moreso once again blizzard cannot balance equally and makes some things mustpicks and others filler.
Half the powers and items per hero are literally useless and, like perks, Im already feeling myself drifting toward the exact same builds every game. There are literally some items that are unusable for most heroes. Namely healing based items that for some reason are available to everyone that arent supports and just steal item slots from other potential choices.
That shouldn’t really be the case.
The whole point of a mode like stadium is to build loadouts based on the evolving match. You should be changing what items you pick and powers depending on the match. Issue is most of the items are completely filler, half of the powers are just straight up mustpicks and the others dont change anything.
I was playing ashe and the enemy tank was playing dva. I was scrambling around the menus to find some perk that allowed me to play around or through matrix, especially considering she has things that can make matrix last longer etc.
There are items that let you break barriers faster, there are items that allow you to apply anti heal, but there are 0 ways for me to build around dva matrix??? Just seems stupid to have an ability that you have no way to interact with when you have all these items….
I tried playing mei and there is literally 1 power that is built around her icicle…

How do you make 12 powers and have only 1 of them augment her secondary fire???
I went in wanting to build some sniper mei where you can hold secondary fire to charge up her icicle or secondary-spam where you shoot rapid fire or even multiple icicles at once.
Yet somehow the best idea they could come up with is literally just a worse version of her minor perk!!?!?? Sure you get a slightly stronger slow on her secondary, but you have to crit to trigger the slow on someone now. Id rather the 20% slow and it not require crits. Its just a downgrade from base mei…
It feels like unless you want to build a primary fire build which there is like 4-5 powers, or an ice block build which there are like 3-4 powers, you have scraps to work with.
The mode just feels really half baked and they just slapped it together in a few weeks. There either needs to be more items overall to allow for much more variety in builds or they need to swap some of the existing powers/items out and give more support to weaker builds.
Cus rn, theres literally 1-2 builds per hero and thats it. There is no diversity or decision making in the mode because it feels like the builds have been already premade for you and you are just following what youve been told are the only acceptable builds.
It feels like the devs built the powers and items backwards. They made powers and items that fit the 2 example builds they give you then filled in the rest after. What they should have done is create fun and unique powers and items and then offer a couple builds as examples. They clearly created a set of items for each example build that work really well together and then just made up a couple other random things.
What this means is unless you build 1 of the 2 example builds you simply do not have enough support to make anything else work. This means the game quickly becomes stale because everhone plays the same build every game.
You will only see dynamite or bob ashe builds cus they didnt care to create diverse options and just made things that fit into 1 of those 2 builds.
To be honest, that’s what this type of game should be.
Yet, without that certain characters still hard counter others. Especially so in the world of tanks.
There should be enough perks to counter a counter.
There’s huge differences in power level. I just played 76 for the first time and that is not comparable to other dps. It’s just perma auto-aim.
