Stadium is Diluted Already

I also hard diffed visor soldiers with lucio hah.

Just low rank though so far.

I don’t even plan the buildout stuff or plan it, much less coordinate the entire suite to teammates. The matchmaker is what decides every match so just pick whatever looks cool.

It takes a lot of cash to really get going but I’ve had success with the life leech healing station build, really good if you play like your supports bodyguard.

I would’ve preferred that Stadium is more about providing alternative play styles than about stats increase.

I feel like most powers and special items are underwhelming. They are either counterintuitive or they don’t scale well with stats.

Also, by making stadium stats-heavy, certain builds end up being no brainers.

If you get an aimbot on a short cooldown, the logical next step is to drastically increase the damage of that aimbot.

I think this is a you problem if you can’t look through the shop and work out a bunch of builds that provide alternative playstyles.

I can see the different styles, it’s just that some builds end up being the go to for most people.

The main point I wanted to make is the fact that many powers and special items are gimmicky compared to others. This becomes even more pronounced by how things scale with stats.

Example: if I want an AD Moira build, my only way is to use items that increase my headshots and things like that, which is irrelevant for Moira, which makes the build suboptimal.

Also, Moira has basically no real fade build and no coalescence build.
The no-brainer build is the AP orb build (which also happens to make coalescence viable in terms of raw numbers)

Because talent systems like Stadium has, will always be flawed. Once people figure it out, its cookie cutter from there. Probably guides for every hero and build possible, with recommendations for early, mid, and late game match builds.

It was inevitable the second they announced something like this.

Sad that it happened that fast. It was a good concept on paper and fun mode to play in until the meta slaves came out full force.

Oh well, back to QP I go.

i havent even tried the mode, sounds so bad on paper, and the honeymoon phase is over the problems are arising

I think it’s the currency discrepancies. You have to play certain builds early on or you’ll be so behind on currency that you just get out-scaled and literally can’t increase earnings.

That means you can’t run fun builds or run the fun parts of builds early on without shooting yourself in the foot.

Stadium is fun, but there are definitely some issues to be worked out. D.va and Genji being the two that stick out to me. Both are rough to play if Zarya, Mei and/or Moira exist on the map and with as common as those characters are, plus being locked into the choice, I genuinely can’t see a reason to run them over other characters who see more general usability.

Its was never the intention that you test out a new build every match. People who are clever change a few perks depending on the encounter or play a hybrid build if the build they want to play is not viable enough for the state.

You also play the hero the same way in every other mode. This is not a problem.

I agree with most discussed issues here but just a question… what does “ammo amoun increase” item do with heroes such as rein and d.va? I may be a noob so please guide me or I would think Blizzard is too lazy to change items compatible with every hero in the game.

Nothing, but it’s not because they’re too lazy it’s intentional as they want the shop to be the same across all heroes aside from hero-specific items. They are looking to improve the UI to make things like that more obvious though (apparently)

Yeah, that’s pretty fun.

Well, of course, you give people the strongest option they’re gonna do that every time. This especially happens when you make thing like this a competitive mode. If it was unranked, maybe there’d be some more meme builds, but not in a mode like this.

Doing the MVP challenge was mostly about luck.

What I noticed was some tanks was broken and dead easy to win with (D.VA and Zarya especially if you took the perk that made her bubble bigger).

Never went for the visor build on S76 but focused on the healing. Where it did damage and followed me around.

Some heroes in the dps category was played a lot.

Lucio was the support I have seen the least of.

I knew this was going to happen as soon as they showed how many items there were, lol player base is notorious for building items that they don’t know what it does.

i hope they change the healing Reduction power so everyone can use it not just guns that can hs.

Doesn’t have to be 30% but its kinda pointless only on hs.
should be as ez as healing.

had the most success on support (who guesses it) because you can just outheal littleraly everything.

was scared of him…
went with the healing build.
free win.
