So far with headset all is well. I’ll check out my regular speakers tomorrow sometime 
For me, what seems to have worked is to go to the “spatial” tab in the sound options of windows 10 and set it to Windows sonic… the sound changed at first, but it felt better after a reboot, and I haven’t had the problem, again…yet.
