Some predictions

  1. every hero on the BP will launch in a state which instantly flings them into the meta. This may not be as bad as Brig was, but will certainly be noticeable

  2. heroes will be nerfed after 2-3 months, before the next pass launches, so that they can make the next hero broken without power creeping too quickly

  3. BONUS: based on Activision’s latest proposed patents, matchmaking will be affected. Higher MMR premium players will be more likely to be matched against lower MMR free players, with the expectation that F2P players will purchase the battle pass hoping to close the skill gap.

Set your reminders to return to this post next year. Guarantee all 3 of these will be correct

How tf will purchasing a new hero make someone better in a complex game as much as overwatch. If you’re getting bodied by a newbie you for more problems than MMR

Most heroes have launched OP…wouldn’t be anything new….

On purpose for $$ is a different question

They should flipp the meta because otherwise whats the point of them. I rather have new heroes be OP and then be turned down (but not nerfed to the ground) than to have heroes who have almost no impact. Because first impressions matter.
