Why on Earth can D.Va Defense Matrix a Mei ult that’s already on the ground? Had that happen not too long ago and boy was that some bull.
It can’t. It was probably just latency issues or a small, coincidental bug.

The same as once dynamite hits the ground she can’t eat it.
the 5 second rule doesn’t apply to Dva sadly

I have very good internet though. Hardly go over 32ms. I know for a fact it hit the ground already because I literally placed it at my feet and it just disappeared while already on the ground in Blizzard World.
There’s still latency.

Mei’s ultimate has 3 states.

The cast animation (0.5 seconds.)
This is the part when she has the robot in her hands. If Mei is stunned or killed during this time will she lose her ultimate. It can not be deflected or eaten during this animation. -
The travel animation (±1 seconds.)
This is the part where her drone flies to the location. It can only be deflected and eaten during this time. -
Active time (5 seconds.)
This is the time it’s active. It can’t be deflected, eaten or stunned anymore.
It is possible that the ultimate didn’t touched the ground yet on the servers due to latency, even if the latency was around 32 ms, allowing Dva to eat it on her screen.
