Sombra needs HELP!

Who knows? They said they’ve been reading feedback, and I hope they take a glance at this thread eventually. I would love to see Sombra be viable.

Well, there goes my idea to get the golden Sombra weapon, now this sh*t’s becoming a thing. I don’t understand why they make the stealthy hero have a bigger visibility box WHILE IN STEALTH MODE. Honey, it’s called Stealth for a reason. A loudly beeping teleporter and a bigger visibility box isn’t stealthy. Maybe I’ll become an Orisa main, nobody touches her so she won’t get nerfed anytime soon.

Then again, I’ve been sensing a pattern where heroes I actually enjoy get nerfed horribly… Hm… plays Genji

All these together would make her frighteningly OP, but just a few of them would work, for the simple reason that they address her problems.

Unlike infinite invis, which does nothing but encourage bad play.

It means Line of Sight, which means she can only hack whats on her current view (Or your screen)
If they move out of your sight, the hack breaks

Nicely formated and thorught out. Most of what you said is really something that would help Sombra get back in line with the rest of the cast.

A few things I would mention however.
The 2 second interrupt wouldn’t be that bad with some actual damage treshold which Sombra lacks as of right now. I’d be fine with that 2 sec cooldown if we could get to keep the faster hacking speed (0.8 OR 0.65 but not the 1 sec casting time) and add a reasonable damage treshold so a D.va from 30 meters away won’t be able to completely shut down Sombra during a team fight simply by doing 1> damage.

Another one is that Blizzard clearly don’t want Sombra to be more lethal. So I was thinking and the only other option is to make Sombra a bit more tanky? What I was thinking of is adding x amount of shield on her, for a successful hack, sort of how Doomfist’s shield works albiet with less shield max.

This could also go hand-in-hand with EMP. Remember Mercy getting an invulnerable buff during her Ress? Sombra is forced to jump right into the enemy team if she wants to EMP, she needs some sort of survivability, if they want her to continue fighting after pressing Q. So a shield gain according to enemies EMPd would help her in those crucial few seconds while Sombra’s team follow up to EMP.

this is really nice, especially revert the hack to 0.8s and revert the los check and also making stealth a resource ability,

She would be super consistent and decent and friendly to noobs (sorry), but not oppressive.

This can’t happen for consistency reasons unless they also disable Moira’s and Reapers lifesteal.

Hack doesn’t disable anything that’s caused by primary fire. Only disabling Inspire like this is arbitrary.

Like someone said above, I can see why now.

Though, what about her ult? :thinking:

Also, I feel as if sugar skulls should apprar above hacked enemies rather than the barely visible hacking lines around enemies.

A wonder that this post wasn’t moved but i agree on most of your point but reverse the 2 sec cooldown and add a threshold is maybe to much and would be to annoying to play against and the Extra DMG is not needed really if you learn to Track with here she can put out a lot of DMG

instead of a flat % increase to damaging hacked enemies, it should ramp up as more damage is applied, then explode in a small AoE when Xbullets hit the enemy; sort of like halo’s needler.
